Chapter 292 Time Will Tell
After spending a few moments in the living room, Freya returned to her room, whereupon she gave Melissa a call to comfort her for Benjamin’s passing, not to mention the previous incidents that were bothering her. Standing at the courtyard’s entrance, Freya gazed at Brandon with her hands right behind her back. “You don’t look like you’re celebrating the New Year Festival, Master. Instead, you look like you just got married.”
At that moment, Brandon was busy grinding wood in the courtyard. Despite the cooling weather, he was so absorbed in his work that he didn’t feel cold at all. In fact, his forehead was even covered in sweat. Upon
earing Freya’s words, the man responded with a cold chuckle. “I think you’ve been idle around a lot lately. Ever since you came back from Vroria, you haven’t really laid a finger on a piece of wood, have you? Intly, I thought you were busy with your postnatal duties of looking after Jolly, but it’s been almost half a year since then. So, what’s it going to be now? Have you grown tired of learning?”
“No, I haven’t.” Freya quickly responded, whereupon she paused briefly and added, “But it’s cold I don’t want to expose my hands.” Freya reacted confidently, but her response didn’t seem to sit Brandon, who just blew his own mustache in frustration.
Soop. Trisha brought out two cups of tea and handed one to each of them at the door. Then, she si she watched the bickering between Freya and her mentor. Although they didn’t have children, Trisha long treated Freya as one of her own. As Freya always seemed like a disciple and perhaps a daughter to Brandon, she was expected to be there and give Brandon a decent funeral when the day came.
After that, they sat on the porch and enjoyed their tea. Then, Freya couldn’t help but notice the steam that

Brandon yawned and asked, “So? Are you planning to give Radley a chance now? Considering the fact that you’ve regained your lost memories, you must never go back on your own words. For that, I urge you to think twice before you act.”
Freya frowned and pursed her lips. “I don’t know about it either. While the emotions I feel from the incidents in the past might have faded a lot, there is something that still bothers me deep down”
“Then, don’t think about it. Life is all about going with the flow Brandon smiled.
Freya took a deep breath. Yes, life is all about going with the flow, but I can’t stop Radley from disturbing me amidst my sleep in the middle of the night. Ever since Melissa got into trouble, Radley would call her once every few days out of concern. However, he knew where to draw the lines; otherwise, Freya would have blocked him if he had called more frequently.
Freya bit her lips and looked up at the sky, thinking she finally understood how meticulous and careful Radley was when he was dealing with her. Nevertheless, she could never accept him so long as she didn’t take the initiative to get over the incident that had been bothering her, yet she didn’t know what to do to move on from those incidents.
“Fine, forget about it.” Freya smiled coldly.
“Time will tell. So, just take it easy.” Brandon gazed at Freya as she nodded in response. After having lunch at Brandon’s place, she returned to her car and left the place.
The next day was a special day of the New Year Festival. When Freya went downstairs, she saw Sylvia holding Jolly, who was dressed up like an adorable mascot, in her arms.
“New Year is just around the corner, but you seemed to be away from home the last few days. Why?”
“I went to visit my master. It was something I had to do out of courtesy.” Freya smiled.
Hyia nodded and said, “Well, you’re right. By the way, your oldest cousin ordered some tea leaves and had them delivered here yesterday. Mr. Lane is a huge fan of tea, isn’t he? Bring him some, perhaps.”
Freya picked up the tea leaves and got into her car. Upon arrival at the Monaghans’ mansion, Freya took a deep breath as she hadn’t set foot in this place for about half a year. Nonetheless, the security guards at the entrance could still recognize Freya, whereupon they let her in directly. After that, she drove all the way to the front of the villa and pulled up at the door. When she stepped out of the car, she was greeted by the buder and ushered into the living room.
Unlike the unforgiving winter on the outside, the living room was warm and cozy. Upon entering the living room. Freya immediately saw Daniella sitting on the couch right opposite her, noticing her gray hair as well as the blanket on her lap.

Previously whenever Freya paid Daniella a visit, the old lady would always grab her hands angrily if she was late, even by a bit. However, she reacted with a smile without showing any signs of anger at all th time even though Freya had not visited for nearly half a year.
Freya’s lips trembled as she looked closely at Daniella’s gray hair. After all, Daniella still had some dark

hair six months ago, but now, it had all turned gray. Old people seem to age faster than young people. I guess At the thought of that, Freya was suddenly overwhelmed by a pang of guilt and regret, thinking she should never neglect Daniella on purpose despite the conflict between her and Radley. Grandma has always loved me, yet I treated her like this. How heartless I am! Freya scolded herself in her heart.
After chatting with Daniella for a while, Freya helped her up “Grandma, I saw the flowers blooming in the yard when I came. Why don’t I take you to the window to have a closer look?”
The smile on Daniella’s face stiffened. She then smiled gently and said, “It’s alright. I’m good. If you want to take a closer look at the flowers, feel free to go to the courtyard. Bring a few of them so that I can have someone place them in the vase in the bedroom.”
Freya rested on Daniella’s shoulder and replied, “If you’re not going, then I won’t go either. Freya’s lovely reaction melted Daniella’s heart.
When it was lunchtime, Daniella insisted that she wasn’t hungry, to which Freya responded by furrowing her eyebrows. Then, her gaze fell on the blanket that was covering the old lady’s lap as a bad feeling surged through her heart.
