Chapter 211 Do You Have a Hidden Illness?
They took another stroll, and when they arrived at the baby supplies store, Radley’s footsteps came to a halt again.
Freya glanced inside the store. Sylvia had already prepared everything needed for the baby at horne. But when she saw those little gadgets and the baby stroller, a hint of envy surfaced.
When it came to buying things for the baby, there was never too much.
While Freya hesitated, Radley had already taken her hand and walked toward the store.
Ten minutes later, Freya emerged from the store with an embarrassed expression.
She stood before the store, watching the store clerk joyfully pack up her purchases.
“Miss Kaufmann, is this the correct delivery address? Please confirm.”
“Yes, it’s correct, Freya affirmed.
They strolled through several malls, and every time they passed by a baby supplies store, Radley would stop.
Freya gradually began to sense that something was off. Besides the fact that she hardly got a chance to pay. it was becoming evident that Radley was accompanying her to buy things for the baby.
“Radley, aren’t you buying anything for yourself today?”
Radley nodded. “I want to buy something for our child.”
Freya was taken aback. “What are you talking about?”
“People in Caltun now believe that you’re carrying my child. Can’t I prepare some things for my child?” Radley replied, his expression serious.
Freya’s face changed slightly as she clenched her fist.
Due to Wilson’s involvement earlier, she hadn’t outright denied the situation in public. For the people of Caltun, that was equivalent to acceptance.
But now, if she changed her mind, it would seem like she was trying to cover up something.
Rumors had been rampant in Caltun lately.
Fortunately, Radley wasn’t aware that this baby was truly his.
Freya stood in place for a while, her expression shifting several times.
Radley’s eyes flickered subtly. “Are you afraid that Matthew will be angry?”
“Matthew? What does he have to do with this?” Freya irritably replied without thinking.
Radley’s gaze intensified. “Why won’t it concern him? Isn’t the child his?”
“Of course!”
Observing Freya’s astonishment, even if it lasted for just a brief two seconds, Radley detected something.

While analyzing her mind, she tried to make up the situation in the most credible way. “Well, you know, Matthew and I have broken up. His parents don’t approve of us being together, so I haven’t publicly announced that this child is his. And the Kaufmanns can afford to raise this child.”
Finishing her statement, she subtly lifted her gaze to meet Radley’s.
His expression was calm, and she couldn’t tell if he believed her or not.
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve already announced to the public that this is my child.”
Freya frowned. “It was because of Wilson. This matter needs to be clarified sooner or later.”
It did not matter whether others believed it or not.
“A child always needs a father, and besides, I don’t think I’ll have another child in my lifetime.”
He stared at Freya’s baby bump, having decided that he wanted to be with her. If Freya accepted him, he would fully accept this child as his own. And for Freya’s peace of mind, he wouldn’t ask for more children.
If Freya rejected him, he had no intention of remarrying.
Freya was taken aback. “Do you… Do you have a hidden illness?”
Wait a minute, if Radley has a hidden illness, then how did I get pregnant?
Braxton mentioned that Radley had been neglecting her for the past two years.
So, was she pregnant because she did something during those two years?
Freya imagined a dramatic scene in her mind.

“What?” Freya furrowed her brows.
Seeing Radley’s slightly pale face, she pursed her lips and realized that she had hit a sore spot.
“Well, you don’t have to worry too much. I’ve been researching a medical project related to this recently,” Freya said kindly. “If you don’t mind, you can come to my place for a check-up once my equipment is ready. I can help you with the treatment. It’s usually very hard to make an appointment with me, you know.”
Radley sneered. “Well, thank you very much then.”
Freya shook her head repeatedly. “You’re welcome.”
If Radley indeed had a hidden illness, then where did this baby come from? Did she cheat on him during their marriage?
She couldn’t believe that her values could be so shattered.
But then again, considering her temperament, she could endure and bear anything for the sake of the Monaghans.
Could it be that she truly lost her mind?
Subconsciously, Freya placed her hand on her baby bump and turned to look at Radley.
“Radley, did I have any male friends who were particularly close during our marriage?”
Radley’s mood was sour. “I’m not sure.”
After some thought, Freya dismissed it. Even if there were such friends, none had surfaced until now-he must be an unreliable man.
As the clock neared five o’clock in the evening, Radley led Freya to the car.
The car headed toward the restaurant he had reserved.
During the ride, Freya seemed quite conflicted, frequently placing her hand on her baby bump and letting out sighs.
Radley was unsure of what she was thinking.
Now that the two were sharing the same space, they felt a lot more at ease.

Radley had made a reservation at a restaurant, and their table was tucked away in a quiet corner by the window, creating a serene atmosphere.
However, just as they entered, Freya bumped into someone she knew.
Chris had his arm around an alluring woman, his face filled with surprise.
“Radley, Frey, what brings you here?”
Radley sneered. “What do you think we’re doing here?”
It was a restaurant-what else could they be here for?
Chris’ face lit up, ignoring Radley’s cold gaze. He walked up, still holding the alluring woman, and playfully patted Freya on the head.
“Long time no see, Frey. Why didn’t you call me?”
Freya glanced at the not-so-pleasant-looking alluring woman and replied unenthusiastically, “Chris.”
“It’s great that you’re here. Mikael will be here soon, and he brought his girlfriend too. How about we all sit together?” Chris suggested.
Radley’s voice was cold. “Not interested.”
Freya was a little curious. “Mikael’s girlfriend? I haven’t met her yet.”
Chris immediately smiled. “He’ll be here in ten minutes. How about we switch to a bigger table and sitt together?”
Freya had no objections while Radley eventually agreed after a quick glance at Chris and they changed.
