“How did you get Chris to agree to us having a gathering here?” Freya whispered.

By now, most of the people from the Joint Department had arrived. They were all quite happy to see what was prepared for them.

Radley wore a small smile. “I can have Connor give you the bill. All you have to do is say that it’s a grand treat from the Kaufmann Group.”
Freya politely smiled. “That won’t be necessary.”
Material rewards made people happier than alcohol did.
That was especially so when the prizes were substantial and plentiful.
After several rounds of the lucky draw, almost everyone had one or two small boxes in front of them.
The person who won the car took the car keys with a joyful expression on his face.
He stood on the stage and declared, “I will live and die for the Joint Department! I will give my all until the
end!”
The atmosphere in the audience was already lively.
Freya recognized him as a steady employee of the Kaufmann Group.
She also understood his excitement when she saw the car logo on the car keys.
“Are you trying to poach the employees from the Kaufmann Group?” Freya asked, suspicious.

Freya fell silent at that.

His mood only got better when he saw Freya get into the car without missing a beat..
When Radley sent Freya back to Kaufmann Residence, he looked at her belly and couldn’t help but worry. “Please be careful during this period.”
Freya caressed her stomach and smiled. “Thank you for your concern.”
Not long after she arrived home, she received a call from Daniella.
“Madam Daniella.” Freya looked at the time. “It’s already 10 p.m. Why haven’t you rested yet?”
“Do you have any idea how long it has been since you last visited me?!” Daniella sounded like a child complaining.
“Yes, yes, Madam Daniella. I will come to see you tomorrow.”
Finally satisfied, Daniella muttered, “Come earlier tomorrow. I’ll have someone make your favorite fish dish for you.”
“Alright, Madam Daniella,” Freya agreed with a smile.
After washing up, she lay in bed and looked at her schedule.
She would visit Daniella tomorrow. As for her brother’s medical plan, she still needed a few test results before she could come up with something.
Freya then glanced at her text messages and softly sighed. Isabella still hadn’t replied to her messages.
