Chapter 167 Radley Gets Beaten Up
The Lane Residence was located on the outskirts of Caltun, with beautiful scenery but quite a distance
away.
Due to Trisha’s weak health, Connor drove slowly and only arrived at the West Geft Joint Department in the afternoon.
Freya called Ethan, and the five of them had a meal together.
During the meal, she was unusually silent and deliberately sat beside Trisha when they took their seats, creating a distance between her and Radley.
After the meal, Connor drove Brandon and Trisha back to the estate.
Meanwhile, Ethan drove his own car back to the hospital, leaving only Freya and Radley,
Radley looked at her and spoke in a calm tone. “Can you give me a ride?”
Freya hesitated for a moment and agreed, “Get in!”
Then, she drove toward Smalzot Yard. The streetlights along the road flickered.
It was different than usual today. When she used to be in the same space as Radley, she would feel uncomfortable and oppressed.

“Maybe it’s not that she’s good at hiding, but that someone is helping her.”
The atmosphere between them became more relaxed as they conversed for a while.
Later, Freya dropped Radley off at the entrance of Smalzot Yard and watched as he closed the car door before driving away.
The night was quiet, and the trees were rustling.
Radley stood in front of the gate, watching Freya’s car until it disappeared.
He had to protect her and find Danna as soon as possible.

She pretended like she was about to jump, scaring Braxton and rendering him speechless. “Alright, alright. Are you hungry? I had the kitchen staff simmering some soup for you. Go have some.”
Freya leaned closer to Braxton. “Brax, are you really that busy? It’s so late, and you’re still dealing with business matters.”
Braxton smiled. “It’s almost the end of the month. Next month, I have to take you to Vroria for half a month, so I need to settle these beforehand.”
“I almost forgot about Grandma’s birthday.” Freya looked guilty.
“You’ve been busy lately and were in such a dangerous situation. It’s normal that you don’t have the energy to think about other things.” Braxton told Ayden, “And this document.”
Freya listened on the side and discovered most of Braxton’s instructions were about daily affairs.
Even if there were any emergencies, Vroria was not far from Caltun, and he could solve some problems with video conferencing.
The butler entered the kitchen, and soon a maid brought soup over to Freya.
It was a bowl of light soup, so Freya accepted it, sitting obediently beside Braxton while sipping her soup.
She would be going to Vroria next month for half a month, so she had to visit Daniella before leaving.

The following day, she arrived early at the Monaghan residence to visit Daniella,
It had been long since Daniella had seen Freya, and she joyfully held onto the latter’s hand.

Freya accompanied Daniella for tea and enjoyed looking at flowers while repeatedly apologizing with a smile, “I’m sorry. I’ve been busy lately, but I’ll definitely spend more time with you today.”
Once they finished lunch and Daniella woke up from her nap, Freya watched a show and gossiped with her, brightening Daniella’s mood even more.
But in the afternoon, Daniella suddenly began acting up and held Freya’s hand with tears in her eyes. “My dear granddaughter-in-law, Frey, don’t leave the Monaghan family, okay?”
Alzheimer’s patients often got stuck in a particular memory fragment and would gradually forget other people.
Freya’s heart ached, knowing that Daniella was probably stuck in the memory of her divorce from Radley.
She held Daniella’s hand and coaxed her softly. “I know. I’ll always be with you, Grandma.”
Rosie came out of the dining room. Freya, is Grandma feeling better?”
Feeling heartbroken, Freya replied, “She’s still a little muddleheaded. Let her rest for a bit.”
Rosie stood at the dining room entrance and watched Freya patiently coaxing Daniella. It was hard to care for chronically ill patients. Even Rosie was afraid when Daniella had an episode.
But Freya had been here the whole day, and she was even pregnant.
There was no sign of impatience on Freya’s face.
If Freya and Radley hadn’t divorced back then.. Rosie pursed her lips. If that were the case, she would certainly be happy to have a daughter-in-law like her after she grew old.
However, the child in Freya’s belly still made her feel uneasy.
Although she now knew Freya was a good person, it was still difficult for her to accept that her son would be the father of someone else’s child.
Freya was comforting Daniella when a maid’s voice suddenly came from the front door.

Freya looked up and saw Radley walking in from outside.

Rosie replied, “Today’s episode was shorter than usual. Freya accompanied her all day and she ate more than usual at noon.”
