Chapter 158 Have You Gone Overboard?
While being wrapped in the soft blanket, Freya thought Radley’s kiss felt like he was trying to vent the panic in his heart, yet there was also a hint of anger. He was drunk the last time they kissed, but both of them were completely sober this time.
Freya was still in shock from Radley climbing up the side of the building, so she struggled to push him away. “Radley!”
But he didn’t move and just continued venting his anger and panic through his lips. After a minute, he finally sat up with their lips almost touching. Both could feel each other’s warmth.
Radley growled softly, “You were right last time. I have gone crazy!”
Freya gritted her teeth, wanting to hit him.
Then, Radley lowered his gaze to look at Freya’s lips. Her red lips were plump and moist after the kiss, which added a hint of ambiguity. Feeling his heart skip a beat, he wanted to kiss her again, but Freya blocked his lips with her hand! “If you dare make another move- kiss me again, you’ll be sorry!”
When Radley glanced at her slightly raised belly, he pulled a chair over and sat by the bed.
You–You–You, get out! Why are you taking a seat!” Freya gritted her teeth in anger.
“I can’t leave for now.” Radley reasoned calmly. The rope I used to climb up has fallen downstairs.”
Looking toward the window not far away. Freya noticed the wind was blowing strongly, so much so that she could hear it howling outside. Her anger subsided a bit, and she looked at Radley, finally realizing that he had come here because he was worried about her.
But it’s one thing to be worried about her and another to force a kiss on her.
Now that Radley had calmed down, he thought for a moment and understood Freya’s intention. “You spread the news that you’re dying to lure those who want to assassinate you to come again, right?”
With a cold snort, Freya ignored him, but her snort was the same as answering the question. Radley pondered about it for a moment and chuckled. “I let my worry cloud my judgment. Now that I think about it, no one from the Kaufmann family, besides Braxton, has shown up. Your mother is still in Vroria, and no one from the Marshalls has come to visit you at the hospital too.”
Freya was the pride of the Kaufmann family and was loved by both the Kaufmanns and the Marshalls. If something really happened to her, those two families wouldn’t just sit back and do nothing. It seemed that she had informed her families in advance when planning this,
Blushing. Freya gritted her teeth and retorted, “So what if you guessed right? Don’t forget, Radley. We have nothing to do with each other anymore! I can call the police and have you arrested for climbing through the window in my ward.”
However, since he had arrived, Radley had no intention of leaving. He sat on the chair, looking calm and cold. “Call the police then.
Freya gritted her teeth and glanced at the man sitting there. He had a tall and slender figure with a confident and cold demeanor. Who would have thought this particular “distinguished guest” had come through the window?
After expressing his longing and worry, Radley softened his attitude and grabbed the plate of fruits from
the bedside table before handing it to Freya. “Since you’re not injured, it means the bullet marks on your car were prepared beforehand, am I right?”
Freya pursed her lips, feeling annoyed. “No, that was indeed designed by someone else, but I added some more details to make the car look more damaged.”
With a raised eyebrow, Radley praised her, “You made it half real and half fake. Not bad.”
After sitting for a while, they heard a sound from outside the ward. The door was opened, and a man in a suit walked in. Radley immediately stood up and stood guard beside Freya.
In the meantime, Freya looked up and saw it was Jakob. He had someone by the collar and dragged him inside! The man’s face turned red from being choked. Even if he didn’t turn red, his face was already swollen and bruised, making it difficult to tell who it was.
Freya exclaimed, “Jakob, you’ve gone too far!”
Jakob was the undercover agent she arranged to guard the hospital. There were only a few options for moving around the hospital without using the elevator.
Freya had Jakob lurking in the dark, but she didn’t expect someone as audacious as Radley to climb up the outer wall of the building.
“Miss Kaufmann, I caught him for you.” Jakob entered the room and laughed. Then, he took a few steps closer and gave Radley a sharp look.
Radley asked meaningfully, “Miss… Kaufmann?”
Freya fell silent because this scene was indeed embarrassing.
Later, Jakob threw the beaten–up assassin to the ground in front of Freya’s bed. The man struggled to get up, but Jakob kicked him in the back, forcing him to lay on the ground. “Miss Kaufmann, do you want to interrogate him or should I?” Jakob asked with a smile, changing his address.
Meanwhile, Radley raised an eyebrow and glanced at Freya, asking, “Are you capable of interrogating
someone?”
Freya shot him a disdainful look and got up from the bed. The man was lying on his belly before the bed while Freya was supporting her belly as she leaned forward to look at the man with a bright smile. With pursed lips, the man threatened, “What are you trying to do? It’s against the law to interrogate someone privately!”
Hearing that, Freya burst out laughing. “You’re an assassin, yet you’re trying to use the law against me?”
The man’s face was filled with bruises, which seemed pleasing to her. She smiled and instructed Jakob, “Give me his phone.”
With swift movements, Jakob searched the man and found his phone. Then, Jakob wiped the phone on the man’s body as though it was something dirty before giving it to Freya. In the meantime, Freya looked at Radley sitting not far from her and felt frustrated. The sight of him sitting there and enjoying the show looks so annoying!
When the man on the ground noticed Freya would not torture him and only took his phone, he visibly felt relieved. Ereya took the phone and smiled, “When we were at Moonshine Garden, l–asked you if you were from The Green Flamation forum.”
That day, she contacted Brisa just in time and had her bring Heartless Scoundrel to guard the park. Unfortunately, things happened too suddenly, and those two assassins managed to escape, so Freya devised a plan to fake her illness. When those two broke through the window, they didn’t even get a chance to check on her. Therefore, if they found out she was injured, they would certainly try again. After all, thirty million dollars was quite tempting.
Freya held the man’s phone and sat on a nearby chair. Her fingers moved quickly, logging into The Green Flamation forum on the man’s phone. Then, she showed the man his phone and smiled. “So you’re one of the famous Octo Adelphos. I was wondering who would be so daring as to take on the mission from Rose Zero.
The man stared at Freya in shock. “How did you discover my account?”
