Chapter 106 It’s Probably That
On the surveillance camera. Brisa saw a man standing next to her Volkswagen. He was pretty tall and good-looking, wearing glasses and looking refined.
The man was Radley’s personal assistant, Connor.
Brisa took out her phone and secretly recorded the footage.

In the afternoon, she nestled in the herbal medicine room, brewed the medicine herself, drank it, ate some snacks, and continued reading.
Freya had a peaceful time. She caressed her bulging belly, exuding a mother’s tenderness.
She was looking forward to her baby.
She didn’t check the baby’s gender. She would love it, whether it was a boy or a girl.
Radley went to the Wallace Residence and then went directly to the Monaghan Building

“Get out of my way!” Radley said sternly.
Danna placed her hands firmly on the car door, preventing Radley from closing it.
“Radley, I’m going crazy. Please don’t treat me like this anymore. I’ll do anything you want me to do.”
Danna’s eyes were desperate and desolate. She had always had a pure appearance. Her beautiful eyes slightly drooped at the corners, revealing a sense of innocence effortlessly.

Freya had discussed this with Braxton before, and they both agreed that someone was targeting the Kaufmanns secretly as they wanted to obtain something from them.
Braxton had told Freya that she fell in love with Radley two years ago because of a car accident. Radley
saved her, and that was how they met.

Then there was Braxton’s car accident, and someone snuck into her bedroom at the Kaufmann Residence at night while she was busy taking care of Braxton at the hospital.
“Most likely, this book is what they’re after.” Freya’s face turned grave, and she ran her hand over the pages of The Compendium of Medical Wisdom.
“Since they snuck into my room, they must’ve thought this book was with me.”
Braxton’s face was grim as he took The Compendium of Medical Wisdom from Freya’s hands “What makes this book so special? Even if it were priceless, it still wouldn’t be valuable enough to justify hurting
someone over.”
“Their power is potent, and their movements are secretive. Judging by what we know, The Compendium of Medical Wisdom is a rare copy from the Middle Ages, and the Middle Ages was the most prosperous period for the development of herbal medicine.”
Freya propped her chin in her hands. “There are many ancient and exquisite prescriptions in here which have been lost since the Middle Ages. While it’s valuable, I have a feeling that their intentions aren’t just on this book.”
There must be some secrets to The Compendium of Medical Wisdom that she didn’t know!
Braxton held the book and said, “From now on, leave this book to me, and you stay away from it!”
This book was like a ticking time bomb. Since Braxton knew that the attacker’s target was this book, he wanted to keep Freya safe.
Freya chuckled and snatched the book back. “If that’s what you’re thinking, why don’t I just copy the book and post it online? Won’t it be safer to burn the book?”
Braxton raised his eyebrows and said, “That’s a good idea.”
“But I don’t want to,” Freya said with a serious look. “These people had caused me a car accident just for this book.”
