Chapter 297: Julia Really Looks Like Juju
“Miss, have we met somewhere before?”
Julia’s heart started to beat faster. She looked completely different now, so how could the old director see through her appearance and recognize her?
That wasn’t the main issue, though. The main issue was that, because of the old director’s words, everyone’s gaze at her gradually became weirder and more curious.
“Uh…” Julia cleared her throat before forcing a smile. “I–I haven’t been here before. You must have mistaken me for someone else.” She faked a confused expression.
The old director looked at her apologetically when he heard her response.
“Oh! I’m sorry. You just really look familiar.”
Jared’s piercing gaze subtly transferred to Julia’s face. Even Randel‘ s curious eyes remained at
her.
At that moment, Cameron leaned closer to Yannie’s ear and whispered in a voice only they could hear, “Aunt Yannie, don’t get me wrong. This is just a guess, but do you think Julia might have been here before? Trying to snoop around?”
Cameron’s words were filled with malicious hints. She didn’t reveal anything, but she sure Jared’s mother something to think about.

Of course, Cameron’s words affected Yannie. The latter started to speculate. Coupled with the matter of the Little Jade Statue, she began to think that Julia’s sudden appearance to the Brooks family might not be a coincidence at all!
With this in mind, Yannie looked at Julia with narrowed eyes. She didn’t dare hide the hatred on her face.
She and Cameron couldn’t just let things develop like this. Not on their watch!
Yannie kept in mind that she should find some time later to talk with her two sons.
“Ah!” The director slapped his forehead. “Little bunny!” he called out, looking at Julia‘ s retreating form.
Julia’s body froze, but she quickly hid her shock and panic. Like everyone else, she turned to look at the old man with a puzzled expression.
“You really look like her!” The director beamed and stared into her eyes.
“Who? Julia? Are you implying that she looks like Juju? That‘ s impossible!” Yannie scoffed and rolled her eyes at Julia.
Το
say that Julia looked like Juju was simply an insult to her precious Juju!
Her Juju was the most adorable person in the world, and no one could compare to her!
Randel was still gazing into Julia’s eyes, feeling a sense of indescribable familiarity.
As a matter of fact, he wasn’t the only one who thought Julia resembled Juju.
In fact, the first time Randel saw her, he instantly sensed a strange feeling of familiarity with her.
Julia‘ s appearance was completely different from Juju‘ s, but for some reason, every time he locked eyes with her, it felt as if he was staring at Juju.
“They don’t look alike at all,” Jared said as he stared at Julia with his dark eyes.
Julia shrugged casually and didn’t say anything.

Jared’s gaze remained on her, carefully observing her expression and moves.
“Let’s not waste time. Since little bunny was adopted and taken away, we should hurry now and locate her!” Yannie declared, making everyone’s attention shift away from Julia.
They all wanted the same thing: To find Juju!
Not long after, their group found the young couple s address stated on the sheet provided by the director.
The neighborhood was located on the outskirts of the city. The place was dirty and rundown, resembling a slum. The smell of garbage hung in the air, and the houses looked worn out.
“Oh my gosh. Juju grew up in a place like this for years?” Yannie muttered with worry and disappointment.
Growing up in such an environment, she wondered what had become of her dear little girl. Randel impatiently walked towards the old apartment building. A huge sign was displayed on the
wall.
“Building 9 – Apartment 1902,” Cameron read. They all rode the elevator.
As he stood in front of the door, Randel suddenly felt a wave of nervousness. The old director had mentioned that Juju had amnesia, so he didn’t know if she would recognize him when she saw him.
“Phew,” he whispered. After taking a deep breath, he raised his hand and knocked on the door.
