Chapter 281 Julia, I must Be You
Julia was utterly exhausted and kept her eyes closed. Suddenly, Jared’s voice broke the stillness, causing her eyes to snap open, pupils trembling.
At that moment, she dared not struggle or deliberately remove Jared’s hand from her belly. The fear of not having enough money and drawing attention to her unusual behavior gripped her.
After a prolonged silence, Julia decided to feign sleep and ignore what was happening.
“Julia?” Jared softly called out to her.
Julia remained composed, exhaling steadily and rhythmically.
Asleep?
Jared tenderly hugged Julia close, placing gentle kisses on her head.
“Julia, in this lifetime, it has to be you.”
His low, affectionate tone conveyed an unyielding commitment, as if he were pledging eternity to her.
Julia felt a surge of conflicting emotions…
The more affectionate Jared became, the more panic she felt…
Just as Julia was in a state of confusion, her chest tightened.
Sensing the man’s touch, Julia felt a surge of anger.

“It seems it’s really bigger than before,” Jared muttered to himself.
The veins on Julia’s forehead throbbed, but she continued to pretend to be asleep!
Five minutes later, Julia wanted to explode.
He still hadn’t stopped?
Upon waking the next morning, Julia realized the man had maintained this position until dawn. Thankfully, he finally stopped, or she would have lost control of her temper.
As Jared emerged from the tent, Henry gave him a thumbs up.
“Sir Jared, you’re amazing!”
As Henry spoke, he glanced towards the tent behind Jared.
“Is she… uh… alright?”
Jared narrowed his eyes, his voice steady and reassuring, “There’s no need to concern yourself about my wife.”
In that moment, a dangerous intensity flickered in Jared’s gaze as he locked eyes
with Henry.
Considering the events of last night, when Jared and Julia pretended to be a couple, while Henry and Maddie were genuinely involved, the disparities were evident.
Reflecting on it, it was clear that Henry had known Maddie for a shorter period compared to Jared’s history with Julia.

As a brother, Henry resolved not to be overshadowed by Jared. When he returned, he planned to fortify his body with the right supplements, even though he needed to be cautious due to Maddie’s
pregnancy.
Maddie approached Julia’s tent and gazed at her belly, concern evident in her eyes. “Are you feeling alright?”
At Maddie’s words, Julia’s forehead creased in irritation.
“I’m not in the same situation as you,” Julia replied.
Maddie regarded Julia with a mix of curiosity and understanding. “So, you’re saying you’re stronger than me and don’t require my worry?”
Julia paused, gathering her thoughts. “I mean, Jared and I were just playing a part last night, purposely provoking Cameron.”
“Ahh, I see. It had me worried–I thought you were simply taking risks and not considering the baby.”
