Chapter 202: Jared Is The Monitor’s Boss
Everyone found Lorelei’s reaction confusing. With that, all of them followed who she was staring at. Upon seeing the man standing at the door, they had the same expression as Lorelie, oblivious to who that man was and what he was doing there.
With a blink, Julia stood from her seat, her eyes fixated on Jared, wearing a dark gray coat at the door. His straight trousers gave them the impression of having a resemblance to pines and cypresses that had stood for more than a century.
If they could look at Jared that close, they could see how long and dense his eyelashes were.
‘He’s so handsome!‘ The only words they could express were meeting Jared. Even men complimented him.
When everyone was fascinated with his magnetic presence, Julia walked toward Jared at the door without minding the eyes that darted on her.
Upon seeing that, almost all of them were despised in their hearts.
‘That’s useless! I can’t even walk, seeing a handsome guy!‘
‘What a shame!‘
Before they could finish their contempt, Julia had already stood before Jared. She moved her hands up, patting the snowflakes that fell on his shoulder and head.
“Is it snowing outside, huh?” Julia inquired after she wiped it all.
“Well, it’s quite beautiful….”
It was an ordinary conversation between the two, but the moment was warm and harmonious.
Meanwhile, everyone found that Julia and that handsome man who appeared out of the blue knew each other. It was based on how they conversed. Not only did they find out they knew each other, but it seemed the two had a relationship.
“Why are you here?” Julia asked, doubtful of her sudden
appearance.
Before he could respond, Maddie had already raised her hand at the back. “I told him not to come here for a dinner party.”
With that, Julia looked behind.
‘Spy.‘ Julia thought.
Maddie only grinned at Julia and continued to fix her eyes on Julia and Jared, both filled with excitement with their eyes twinkling.
At the same time, Simon stood up when the realization hit him that it was indeed Jared. His broadened. “B–Brooks? Mr. Brooks?!”

Simon froze, still couldn’t believe it was him, and couldn’t tell anything.
Just like Maddie had stated lately that Julia already had a partner, his reaction was similar to everyone present.
Lorelei thought she made up stories for Julia’s sake. No one even expected her to have one. “I didn’t expect this to be true!”

“Forget it. We never expected that Julia’s target turned out to be their boss, the CEO of the Brooks Corporation.”
“President Brooks?” Lorelei was astounded and couldn’t even believe it. “He is a boss? What company?”
Lorelei couldn’t believe it was the boss of the Brooks Corporation. Still, she had doubts about his identity.
The boss of the Brooks Corporation was believed to be the wealthiest man in Monroe City. A reputable figure never touched in their lifetime, significantly since Julia’s reputation was tarnished. Thus, that person, for Lorelei, was called Brooks, must have no relation to Brooks Corporation President.
Not only did Lorelei think that way, but also others thought that way.
They knew that if that man suddenly appeared as Brooks Corporation’s president, Julia would have to show it off to them all.
Julia hadn’t even mentioned it, which made them confirm their thoughts to be true. The man, also a Brooks, must be a boss in their small company that Julia wouldn’t show off.
‘That might be why Julia didn’t mention it. That must be it!‘
“He is “Simon couldn’t continue what he was about to tell and left the room, yet Jared glanced at him, warning him.
Stunned, Simon halted and cleared his throat. “He is Jared. That’s what we call him.”
“Oh, that’s his name? That sounds domineering and sounds like a boss!” Lorelei said with a hint of ridicule.
“Joking aside, I have to say that he is handsome! And that noble aura is indeed worthy of his name!”
“Julia, is he your boyfriend?”
Maddie stood up proudly. “Didn’t I tell you she already has a husband, not a boyfriend? They are already a married couple with a marriage certificate.”
Upon hearing that, Simon sat down in despair. He was aware that he stood no chance when he saw Jared.
‘Now…things have been settled, and they are now married….‘
Simon had no other option but to accept it and thought he was not supposed to Julia anymore. “Are you sure they are married?” Lorelei asked in surprise and looked over at Julia. “You and Carter are now over? Didn’t you reject the monitor for Carter before? How come you got married in one blink of an eye?”
Julia sat back in his seat and looked at Lorelei. “Can’t you see it? Compared with my husband, Carter is a million miles away, and my husband is good to me. Everyone would choose him.”
Upon hearing Julia call him husband, Jared was very satisfied.
Meanwhile, Lorelei glanced at Jared. The more she stared at him, the more she felt the men in her family were like crooked melons and cracked jujubes.
At that time, Lorelei was too proud to say she was better than Julia. But she was slapped in the face in the blink of an eye.
As she thought about it further, her eyes fell on the ring on Julia’s finger.

Can he be used as food?” a female classmate muttered in a low voice.
Julia heard it all. They were the same people who had complained and bullied her before, but she didn’t take it to heart. However, she couldn’t tolerate those people talking wrong about Jared behind her back.
“You are wrong,” Julia started and continued, “A handsome man can still be used as a source of food, while if ugly, he will not be able to eat. So handsome men can still be used as food.”
The female classmate couldn’t utter a response. The most important thing for her was that Julia’s husband was undeniably handsome. Sitting at the same table and eating with them, it felt like he was not in the same style as them.
Meanwhile, Lorelei still wanted to find trouble and looked at Jared. “Why are you with Julia?” Jared narrowed his eyes slightly. “We were destined in the past life, and this life is destined.” Those words stunned everyone, including Lorelei. Not just them, but also Julia. Lorelei’s mouth was wide open. After a while, she recovered from panic. She continued, “Are you aware Julia was responsible for pushing her ex–fiancé’s woman to miscarriage? Do you also know that she had a miscarriage herself? She pushed her mother–in–law into the pool and drowned her, you know that? Don’t you know she was kicked out of the family for treason?”
