“Mr.Brooks?!“The maids’voices trembled as they spoke his name.
As dread spread through her body,one of the maids wondered, ‘Had he overheard the conversation?”
The two housekeepers ducked their heads in fear.They were in a precarious position, knowing Jared had the final say.
Jared stood before them, his face expressionless. A dangerous glint in his deep eyes caused them to shrink in fear. With his commanding presence and preceded reputation, the maids knew that crossing Jared could have severe consequences, as he held their livelihoods in his hands. They anxiously awaited his response, hoping that their slip–up had gone unnoticed.
“I know what happened in the kitchen earlier.“Jared’s voice was calm but filled with authority. His remarks terrified the two maids, dawning on them that they were in deep trouble.
The maids trembled uncontrollably,their faces pale and their lips quivering. His imposing authority was incomparable to Shiloh’s, to say the least. It wasn’t only because of the aura he held, but their fear stemmed from Jared’s ruthless methods,which were well–known throughout the household.
“Are you denying it?“His cold words made the two maids kneel, their bodies shaking with fear. “Have pity on us,Sir!We’re wrong and we won’t make the same mistake again,“one of the maids pleaded,tears streaming down her cheeks.
The other maid nodded vigorously in agreement, her voice barely audible as she begged forgiveness. They knelt,continuously bowing their heads, hoping Jared would show mercy. After all,they knew they had committed a grave mistake, knowing the price they would pay for their brash actions. The room fell silent as Jared’s stern gaze lingered on the trembling maids. His expression was unyielding despite their pleas,and his judgment was final.
“Let me clarify this to both of you;Julia is my only wife.She’s the only match for me.”
Hearing this, the maids were filled with regret.They realized the gravity of their actions.They wouldn’t have sided with Cameron if they could only turn back time. Even more,they would have treated Julia with the utmost respect.
“Sir Jared,we realize our mistake. Please give us another chance!“Their voices were desperate, filled with genuine remorse.
Jared glanced at Joseph and ordered, “Throw them into the dump. Let them eat the leftovers from the pigs. After a month,set them free.“His words were final, and his punishment was severe.
“Yes,boss.“Joseph nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation, and the two maids cried uncontrollably on the ground.
“No!I beg you,Sir!Have pity on us!“one of the maids protested.
However, Jared remained unmoved by their pleas. He turned away, refusing to acknowledge their desperate cries for mercy.
‘Feel pity for them?Not in the slightest,’Jared thought.Spitting on food, in particular,struck him as particularly inhumane.The choice Jared made was hard but reasonable. Dumping them in a hog pen was reasonable if they wouldn’t behave like decent humans. His decision was a stark reminder of what he stood for and what would happen if he betrayed those beliefs.

Cameron was upset when he received the news. He thought Julia might have known about the maids and wanted to eliminate them.
“Damn it,Julia must have known that the maids were mine.That’s why she wanted them to leave,“she said under his breath.“You really seem to insist on going against me! You truly want to compete with me for the honor of becoming the wife of the head of the Brooks family,don’t you? Fine, let’s see how this unfolds!It’s like trying to read the libretto of an opera while riding a donkey!Just wait and see what happens next!”
She then called Yannie for advice.“You know Shiloh can stand on his own now, Auntie.I think he’ll recover soon. Maybe it’s time to let Julia go.”
Yannie didn’t respond right away. She thought about how Julia had helped her
recently.“Cameron, she just cured Shiloh. Kicking her out now feels wrong,“she said, her voice filled with hesitation.
“Godmother! You can’t possibly stop now,“came the urgent reply.“We can’t be uncertain about this. Julia went out of her way to be close to Jared. I know she’s hiding something!”
Yannie said, “I know she’s using my son to hurt her ex–boyfriend,Cameron.”
Agreeably,Cameron shared her suspicions.“It goes beyond that. I have been looking into what Julia did.She seems to not care about her ex–boyfriend. At first, I thought Julia married Jared to get back at him, but she’s been avoiding him and getting closer to him. Isn’t it strange that she ran into Jared outside the civil affairs bureau? Did you plan it?”
Yannie started to worry.“Planned? What was she thinking?She’s using my son to get ahead?”
Cameron raised more questions.“It isn’t that easy. Don’t you remember when Shiloh almost died?Julia was there, and she stopped those people from hurting him.Those people don’t hesitate to kill. How could she get rid of them until Jared got there? It’s too coincidental!Something must have happened that we’re not aware of!”
Yannie started to see how everything fit together.“So you think Julia knows those people and is here to hurt Shiloh and Jared?”
Cameron said, “I can’t prove it, but it’s possible.”
Yannie considered Cameron’s words carefully, feeling a sense of conviction in what was said.Whether the concerns were founded or merely suspicions, she knew she couldn’t ignore the potential risk to her two sons. The idea of leaving a hidden danger unaddressed weighed heavily on her mind, and she felt a responsibility to protect her family.
With this thought firmly in her mind,Yannie took decisive action. She picked up her phone and composed a message to Jared, her trusted confidant. The following day, Julia arrived at the film set.Just as she got there, her phone rang.
Alexander Cooper was calling.
“Hey, Julia!Are you already here?“Alexander asked.
She responded, “Yes, I just got in.”
“I’m backstage, handling the makeup. I’ve informed security that someone will be coming to visit. Feel free to come in.”

“Alright,thanks.“Julie hung up the phone and entered the set, looking around and getting her
bearings.
As she walked through the set, Julia couldn’t help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. The film crew buzzed with activity, and she could see the actors preparing for their scenes.She made her way toward the makeup area and saw Yasmin.
“Julia? What brings you here?“Yasmin asked,clearly surprised by her presence.
Julia’s eyes moved to Yasmin, dressed in a fringed dress and sporting an intricate haircut. Her presence didn’t surprise her since she was aware that Yasmin was the drama’s third female lead.
“Hey, I’m talking to you. Are you ignoring me?“Yasmin snapped.
“I’m not your mom,Yassi,“Julia replied.“Why should I care?”
“How dare you!Say that again!“Yasmin pointed at Julia, her glare intense.
Julia haughtily smirked.“Your role is supposed to be kind, intelligent, and a princess. And now look at you–rude and aggressive. You don’t strike me as a sweet young princess, honey.The villain’s role is better for you.”
Julia discovered that Yasmin was portraying the princess in the show, and the reason for this knowledge was quite intriguing. Since Alexander was cast as the second male lead in the show, he had access to the characters’backgrounds and relationship dynamics. Since he was deeply involved in the production, he knew about the roles and shared this information with Julia.This connection. between the characters allowed Julia to understand Yasmin’s role as the princess.
More so,the emotional journey of the male lead in the story was complex and tragic.Initially, there was a confusing love triangle where the male lead was attracted to the female lead,and in turn, she reciprocated his feelings. However,despite her affection and love, the male lead didn’t feel the same way about her.The story took a dramatic turn when he was moved by the second female lead’s sincerity and devotion just before the battle. He made a heartfelt promise to marry her upon his return from battle.Tragically, he never returned, and the second female lead’s hope turned to despair as she received only his clothes,sent back from the battlefield. This poignant twist emphasized the tragic ending of their love and the cruel fate that awaited them, leaving moviegoers with a profound sense of loss and reflection.
Taking that into account, Julia believed that Yasmin’s personality didn’t suit the role.Conversely, Yasmin felt she was the perfect fit for the character,as she understood the depth of despair and longing required by the role.
“Say that again!Who’s ugly? Who’s evil?“Yasmin’s anger was palpable.
“You are, my dear. It’s a good thing Alexander’died’on the battlefield. Otherwise, being paired with
you would be nauseating,“Julia quipped. Her words hit Yasmin like a slap, fueling her anger
even more.
Taking her insults seriously,Yasmin felt deeply humiliated.“Bitch!I wish you were dead!”
Just chill out,Yasmin, you big celebrity.Many fans look up to you because of your social status.That’s a lot of folks right there.“She then pointed at the crowd that was watching them.“It would be terrible if someone took a picture and posted it online.Don’t you think?“Julia teased, evidently showing her displeasing expression.
“Shut up!“Yasmin was seething with anger.“Wait and watch. I’ll make you regret this!”
“Oh, let’s see about that. But for now, listen and keep your anger in check.“Julia was confident in her ability to outsmart other people.

Yasmin clenched her fists,determined to prove Julia wrong. She felt like she might pass out from anger. Determined,Yasmin focused on turning the tables and showing Julia that she wasn’t one to be underestimated.
