Chapter 68. She didn’t come looking for him
Only when Mark heard that Mae had come to look for Jason, the original anticipation on his face turned into a calm expression of loss, and then turned into a touch of anger as he looked at Mae coldly.
She was not here to look for him.
This kind of loss from the initial nervous anticipation to this moment of loss filled Mark’s chest with a sense of loss, causing him to feel uncomfortable.
“Mae, Jason is out. Do you want anything from him?”
Victoria stepped forward and spoke gently.
Compared with others, Mae’s relationship with Victoria had always been very good. In those years, when the entire Smith family did not want to see her, Victoria was the only one who maintained her wholeheartedly. It was the only warmth in the Smith family.
As a result, Mae’s expression softened when she faced Victoria.
“The bartender said that Jason took Jean away, and I’m here to pick her up.”
Mae spoke and said word by word, allowing everyone to see the truth. The rich second generation who thought they could win the new sports car from Mark instantly collapsed in disappointment. with a complicated expression of unknown meaning.
It was just… embarrassing.
Everyone thought that Mae was looking for Mark to get back together.
Thinking about this self–righteous and self–righteous mentality, they felt that their faces were a little unsettled, and it was hot… very hot.
Fortunately, Mark had always acted calmly. He probably didn’t care if Mae came to look for him at all. Otherwise, the most awkward person in the audience would be Mark.
Everyone thought about this in their hearts, and their eyes consciously or unintentionally looked at Mark who did not say a word.
However, Victoria had no idea. Hearing Mae’s words, she said,
“Jason went out ten minutes ago. We didn’t notice where he went. I’ll call him.”
With that, Victoria quickly picked up her phone and dialed Jason’s number. The call was connected, but no one answered.
She tried to make a few more calls, but no one was still on the other end of the line.
“Jason’s isn’t answering.”
Victoria frowned and looked at Mae’s cold expression.
“Mae, don’t worry, Jason is very upright and won’t mess around. Why don’t you sit here for a while and wait for him to return?”
Victoria invited Mark to return as well.
“Give me your phone.”
14:34
“…Oh, good.”
Victoria thought that Mae did not believe that she had contacted Jason, so he quickly handed the phone to Mae.
Mae let go of Leo, who was struggling. Leo did not stand still and fell to the ground beside the sofa.
But at this moment, he just silently rubbed his fingers which were swollen and purple, and did not dare to curse again.
Everyone’s eyes were silently looking at Mae. Victoria stood beside Mae and could see more clearly.
Seeing that Mae hadn’t opened her call log, she didn’t know what to do on her phone. Some letters that she did not understand at all appeared on the screen, row after row.
Soon, an address popped up. It was the parking lot outside the bar.
“Thank you.”
Mae returned the phone to Victoria and turned to leave.
Victoria was dumbfounded as she looked at her phone screen. It was back to normal now, but Mae’s actions just shocked her.
“Vic, what was she doing with your phone just now?”
Someone leaned closer to Victoria and asked curiously.
“Okay, you seem to be looking for Jason’s current seat.
Although Victoria didn’t understand what those letters represented, the operation on that side was obviously a hacker chasing someone else’s operation. It was sophisticated and mysterious. It was really cool, right?
“Impossible, she can have this ability? How many layers of protective walls are installed on Jason’s phone, can she locate it casually? In such a short time, hackers can’t do it, right?”
Some people scoffed at him, feeling unbelievable.
Victoria also thought it was incredible, but just now, she had just watched the address pop up on her
phone screen.
“Not necessarily. There was a problem with Jean’s project conference that day. Wasn’t it Mae who solved it? Maybe she has hidden many high–end skills. We don’t know.”
Someone said softly, then looked at Mae and said,
“Mark must know that they have been husband and wife for more than a year. Mae has such great ability.
These words were like a silver needle with a barb that pierced into Mark’s heart and then ripped out fiercely, causing his blood to drip from the pain.
He found out that he didn’t understand Mae at all, and she didn’t really love him so much.
After Mae located Jason’s seat on Vic’s phone, and she rushed over
In the parking space that was located, there was a conspicuous luxury silver–gray limited edition Lamborghini sports car. The car did not start, but the lights were on. Mae saw Jason unbuttoning his shirt in the car.
Mae’s eyes froze, and a cold light flashed from the bottom of her eyes. She hurried over and opened the car door. Before Jason could react, she pulled him out of the car and threw him to the ground
beside the car.
Jason could not dodge in time, so he was thrown out of the car by Mae.
“Die.”
Mae got into the car. Jean was drunk and unconscious. Her beautiful cheeks were flushed from the alcohol, and some vomit was stained on her clothes, giving off an unpleasant smell.
Apart from that, his clothes were neatly dressed and there was no intention of being violated.
Not caring much, Mae switched to the other side and took Jean out of the car. At this time, Jason had already sat up from the ground and looked at her helplessly.
“Miss Lee, is this how you treat others?”
Only then did Mae notice that Jason’s shirt was covered in vomit. Because of her previous actions, a lot of vomit had fallen onto his chest.
It was just…disgusting.
Jason looked even more embarrassed at this moment.
“Where were you taking Jean?”
Mae frowned, looking at Jason with a look of ill will and defensiveness in his eyes as if the Jason in front of him was a pervert who wanted to do something bad.
Jason was helpless, “Of course, I’ll take her back and take good care of her. Miss Lee, what did you think I was doing to her?”
With that, his gaze suddenly touched a certain direction behind Mae, and he raised his eyebrows calmly.
