Chapter 54. Tsk! It’s a pity that it’s the wrong person.

Jean laughed unceremoniously. Looking at the ugly faces of the Gray Siblings, she said to Paula Gray,
“Tsk! It is so pitiful that you made a show of the wrong person!”
“Jean, you…”

Mark looked at him calmly. The temperature in his eyes was obviously a little colder.

As he spoke, he deliberately looked at Mark who was silent, and provocatively said:

He did not believe that Mae would not even care about Mark. Wasn’t she afraid that Mark would hate
her even more?
The woman who had disappeared for four years suddenly returned to Sofitel City. Maybe she wanted to rekindle her old relationship with Mark.
“Does Miss Lee think it’s worth it to offend someone who shouldn’t be offended for the sake of a
best friend?”
Peter squinted his eyes and smiled. He was implying that she should not make Mark Smith angry.
Mae laughed. She felt that this person was mentally ill. The last time he used Mark to warn her, he did it again.
Mark was also looking at her. He really was not worried about what could go wrong with this project. The big deal was losing a little money.
His eyes
fell on Mae’s smiling face for a split second. Compared to Mae’s calmness, his heart once again felt a little nervous.

Mae stopped and turned to look at Mark, “Mr. Smith, what’s the matter?”
Mark glanced at Jean who was beside Mae and looked at him defensively. He said in a deep voice. “Ms. Gray, I have something personal to discuss with Ms. Lee, can you please give us some privacy?”
“What else can the ex–husband and Mae have to discuss? Mae doesn’t want to talk to you.”
With that, Jean pulled Mae up and was about to leave, but Mark’s face which had no warmth in the first place instantly brought a sense of oppression that made people dare not look directly-
“Jean Gray, just because I talk to you well doesn’t mean that I’m really easy at talking. Don’t push yourself.”
“You bastard threatened me, you…”
“Jean.”
Mae quickly stopped her. She knew that Mark’s words just now were not to scare Jean. With Mark’s temper, if he really dealt with Jean, she could not protect her, let alone expect the Gray family to support Jean.
