want to see Mae. And that was how Mae understood it as well.
A man who could heartlessly get rid of his own child, how could he be willing to see the woman who had taken 10 billion from him four years ago?
Knowing that Mark didn’t want to see her, Mae didn’t care. Before Mark could speak, she had already shifted her gaze back to Peter.
“What others do has nothing to do with me. I only care about Jae–Jae. If Mr. Gray thinks I’m just scaring you, you are welcome to give it a try.”
After speaking, she smiled gracefully. Her arrogance had reached its peak
Everyone present was stunned by Mae’s display. Was this the same woman who was known as the vase queen in the entertainment industry? Was it necessary to be this intimidating?
She was a talented actress, and her proficiency in IT seemed like an insult to the engineers present.
For a moment, everyone looked at Mae in awe. The once thought of as a vase was now a high–end
talent.
Even her disregard for her ex–husband just now was fascinating, showing an aloof and cool
demeanor.
“I didn’t know you had hidden your talents so well, Miss Lee. To think that you were able to learn such advanced skills while being watched by others for the past few years,” Jean said.
“It was hard learning it while being watched,” Mae said nonchalantly, without going into detail.
Jean didn’t ask further. She knew that Mae’s experiences in the past few years were not something that could be explained in just a few words.
Jean thought of something and patted Mae’s shoulder, saying in a low voice, “Mae–Mae, you looked so cool when you ignored your ex–husband just now. If I were a man, I would marry you.”
“Even if you were a woman, you could still marry me,” Mae replied.
Jean: “…”
Seriously?
“I’m a bit thirsty. I’ll get some drinks. Do you want anything?” Mae asked.
“Get me a glass of champagne.”
“Okay.”
Jean happily walked away, and Mae rubbed her fingers which were slightly cramping due to the rapid typing. She then heard rhythmic footsteps approaching from behind.
“Mae–Mae.”
It was Jennifer’s voice.
Even after four years, Mae could still recognize her voice.

Mae turned around and saw Jennifer approaching with Mark by her side. Their eyes had different expressions as they looked at her.
Before she could say anything, Jennifer hurriedly came up to her, holding her hand with enthusiasm. But Mae calmly avoided her touch.
Jennifer’s expression froze for a moment, but she quickly hid it and said, “When did you come back? You didn’t even tell me. If we hadn’t run into each other today, would you have never contacted me again?”
Mae replied crisply, “Yes.”
Jennifer was taken aback by Mae’s direct response.
