Chapter 6 You Deserve Better
The night.
The cool breeze blew, and the moonlight was pleasant.
Leones left the Bloom family.
His grievance, which had been accumulated for many years, was finally released.
He had never been so relaxed.
The only pity was he didn’t see his father this time.
His father became alienated and indifferent to his son since he married that woman. He watched
her scheme Leones and sent him to prison but did nothing.
Leones highly doubted his father knew everything about her behavior.
Such a heartless father! Leones didn’t want to see him!
But Leones was a nobody now. He had no money, power, or influence.
Compared to the influential Boom family, he was an ant.
However, things would be changed soon.
“Go to meet Gellert’s people first.”
Gellert was one of Leones‘ master. He was once the wealthiest man in the world.
Although Gellert’s family was in decline, they still had the power to help Leones succeed.
At this time, the phone suddenly vibrated.
It was Gloria calling.
“Mr. Bloom, are you free tonight? I want to treat you to a meal and give you the remaining one million dollars.”
“Good!”

It was getting late, and Leones was a little hungry. He agreed.
He came to the luxurious hotel they agreed to meet.
Leones walked into the lobby on the first floor.
The interior was luxuriously decorated, and the lights were dazzling.
Looking around, Leones didn’t see Gloria among the dining crowd but instead saw another familiar figure.
She had a graceful figure and glittering hair. The face was gorgeous, and the skin was delicate.
She sat alone elegantly. She was outstanding among the crowd.
“Susan!”
Leones stepped forward and greeted her with a smile.
Susan Bones raised her head casually.
When seeing Leones, she was surprised and then exclaimed happily.
“Leones!?”
Susan stood up excitedly and looked at Leones up and down. She confirmed it was Leones and then asked.

“You are out?”
“Yes!”
Leones nodded. “I just came out today.”
“Very good!”
Susan was sincerely happy for Leones.
They were classmates in high school and in the same group for a semester.
After graduation, Leones was imprisoned. Susan was the only one who visited him in prison.
Leones would never forget her kind behavior.
Leones was in pain and despair at that time. Susan’s visit was like a ray of light shining in his dark life, giving him the courage to persevere.
At that time, Leones swore in his heart that he would repay this kindness if he could get out of prison alive.
Unexpectedly, he met Susan on the very first day he was released.
Susan invited Leones to sit at her table. The two chatted happily.
“Are you alone? Why don’t you order?”
Seeing that the table was empty, Leones was about to call the waiter to order.
“Ms. Bones, what’s going on? Didn’t you come on a date with me? Why is there another man?”
At this time, a man with a big belly came suddenly and stood by the table.
Like a husband who found out his wife was cheating, he glared at Leones viciously.
Leones raised his head and saw the man. He was about 30 years old, tall and big, wearing designer, clothes. He looked rich and powerful.
However, he was a little bald at such a young age. His steps were sluggish, and his eyes were darkened. Apparently, his health was ruined by his lousy diet and living habit.
Was Susan dating that man?
Leones frowned. The man was definitely not a good match.
“I’m sorry, Mr. Jackson.” Susan got up awkwardly and quickly explained, “This is my classmate…”
“I don’t care who he is.” Brian Jackson pointed at Leones and said in an orderly tone, “Get out of here immediately!”
“Susan is my woman. You’d better not have any unreasonable thoughts! Get out!”
Leones didn’t have a good first impression of Brian. He behaved rudely and disrespected Susan.
If it weren’t for the presence of Susan, Leones would have slapped him away.
“Susan, we haven’t seen each other for many years. Let’s have a nice dinner together. Don’t date him!”
“Besides, he is not good enough for you!”
Brian, on the side, immediately became furious when he heard the words.
“I’m not good enough?”
“Are you good enough for her, loser?”
Brian looked at Leones. He was dressed shabby. His clothes were cheap stuff. Brian soon

estimated Leones as a pauper. How could a pauper compare to Brian, a man in designer clothes? “Stop bluffing! Treat Susan to a nice meal? Hmph, why don’t you look at the menu? Can you afford to eat here?”
Susan also knew that this hotel was of a very high grade. Its minimum consumption was several
thousand dollars.
She was worried Leones had just been released from prison and had no money on him.
So Susan said, “I’ll treat you to this meal.”
“Will you?”
Seeing that Susan help Brian against him, Brian felt even more upset.
“Waiter!”
Brian immediately called the waiter and reprimanded him. “How did you do your work? Do you let anyone in? Why is a pauper here with us? Our membership fee is for nothing?”
The waiter was scolded harshly. He could only apologize continuously.
Brian was a senior member of the hotel and spent hundreds of thousands of dollars there every year. He must not be offended.
The waiter turned to look at Leones. He was dressed plainly. The waiter made his decision, He wanted to persuade Leones to leave.
“Sir, are you ready to order?”
“We’re about to order!” Susan said first, “Bring the menu!”
The waiter didn’t move and smiled mischievously, “We have received customer complaints. Before ordering, we need to verify your capital to see if you can pay for our service.”
Hearing those words, Susan became annoyed.
“What? Are you afraid that we won’t be able to pay for the meal? Don’t act like a snob!”
Susan said to Leones, “Let’s go. Let’s go to another place to eat.”
Leones shook his head, signaling Susan to be calm. He would not cower back.
“Capital verification? Then let them do the verification.”
As he said, Leones took out the bank card Gloria gave him and asked the waiter to check.
“Hmph. Putting on airs!” Brian didn’t expect Leones to have the balls to do that. He couldn’t help sneering, “I’d like to see how much money you have on your card! How dare to pretend in front of me?”
The noise attracted the attention of the surrounding guests.
Many of Brian’s acquaintances also chimed in.
“Mr. Jackson, what’s the matter, making such a big fuss?”
“Do you want me to call someone for help?”
Brian replied, “It’s just a trivial matter. You don’t need to worry about it.”
“This kid is bluffing. I’ve already asked the waiter to verify his capital. I can drive him away immediately!”
When everyone heard about the capital verification, they immediately became interested. “He looks like a poor boy. How much money does he have in the card?”

“After eating here today, he will be starving in the following month.” “If he has over 100 thousand dollars, I will cat this table on the spot!”
