Chapter 967
Bart quickly grabbed a bucket and put it next to the bed. Helen retched for a while but didn’t vomit anything. She just looked paler than before.
Seeing her look so sick, Shawn softened his attitude.
He sat on the edge of the bed, took Helen’s hand, and said softly, “Didn’t we agree to have this baby? Why did you do this?”
Helen coldly pulled his hand away and asked directly. “How long have you been with that woman? How long has she been pregnant?”
Shawn was a bit upset at her question, but considering Helen’s condition and her recent discomfort, he patiently explained, “She’s an intern at the company I took her to meet with clients a few times, and one time after drinking too much”
He didn’t finish, but everyone could understand what happened next
“I felt extremely guilty when I woke up, and I wanted to tell you several times but didn’t know how to. I thought about firing her and that’d be the end of it, but who knew she would get pregnant from just that one time”
The more Helen heard, the more disgusted she felt, but she forced herself to ask, “She’s pregnant, and you just let her keep the baby? And treat her like you treated Caitlyn before, and let her replace me?”
“What are you talking about?” Shawn was not happy, “I didn’t want this to happen, I’m older than her father, am I shameless? She’s a young girl who contacted me in a panic when she found out she was pregnant. I haven’t even figured out how to handle this.”
