Lyman Rowley seemed to have an idea, grinning. “Nah, probably cause Ms. Colton’s face rings a bell and gives me a sense of déjà vu.”
The bride murmured. “Good thing I stopped you in time, or it would’ve been a real foot–in–mouth situation.”
Lyman Rowley chuckled, “You’re quite the smart cookie”
The bride playfully jabbed at him, and Lyman Rowley didn’t retort anymore. After exchanging a few pleasantries with the crowd, he turned to attend to other guests. Just as the newlyweds left, someone came over and whispered something to Mason Mason turned to Celeste and said, “I gotta lend a hand and be right back.” Celeste nodded, her hand tracing her face.
Why did people look at her so strangely after she put on makeup?
Though she didn’t understand, it didn’t stop her from joking around with Liam.
After the toast, everyone began eating Liam, having traveled all day was actually starving.
So while everyone else was chatting, he didn’t join in much, instead picking up his utensils to eat.
Just as his knife and fork touched a steak, another set beat him to it.

Celeste blurted out in surprise. “Oops, my bad”
Liam didn’t respond, instead turning his attention to another dish.
Celeste transferred the steak to Liam’s plate. “You go ahead.”
Liam looked at her utensils, his brows furrowing
Didn’t this girl understand personal space? Didn’t she know to use everyday utensils when serving others?
Liam didn’t touch the steak, instead opting for something else.
Trisha glared at the made–up Celeste, thinking. This shameless woman, daring to snatch her best friend’s man, does she have a death wish?”
She wanted to confront her, but then recalled that she’d left her phone outside. So she could only glare at her in frustration.
Nicolas gaze swept over the two women, revealing a knowing smile.
This woman had guts, boldly showing her interest in another man in public. And Mason, such a smart man, actually took a liking to her
A normal person, faced with such disdain, would’ve left of their own accord, but not this woman.
After Liam avoided her, she brazenly started another conversation, “It’s surprising that a catch like Mr. Reed is still single”

Nicolas almost spat out the water in his mouth.
Aside from Celeste, nobody dared to tease Liam like this. Was she out of her mind? Did she really think Liam would remain gentlemanly towards women? Liam glanced at her, “How old are you?”
Celeste replied, “Twenty–five
Liam said indifferently. “Still unmarried at twenty–five, can’t find a suitable partner? Is it because guys at your age don’t want you?”
Nicolas knew it would turn out like this.
Why did that woman insist on provoking Liam?
When Liam was joking and teasing her, Celeste suddenly realized he was actually being lenient. He was already being nice to the opposite sex, considering he didn’t know who she was
Liam lost his gentlemanliness entirely because she was intentionally flirting and provoking him. Liam might be a joker, but he knew his limits, he wouldn’t make others uncomfortable on purpose
