She Instinctively reached out to pat his arm in appreciation, but her hand stopped halfway and fell back.
Nicolas didn’t notice her hesitation, he grabbed his phone and said, “Hold on. I need to make a call.”
He walked out on to the balcony.
Trisha sat on the couch, her eyes falling on the lingerie again.
For some reason, she pulled out a cushion to cover it.
Nicolas finished the call and returned to see Trisha sipping on hot water. Her round face, with a bit of baby fat, moved with each sip, like a hamster stuffing its cheeks, irresistibly cute
Nicolas walked over and asked, “You usually drink beer or coke when you come here. Why are you drinking hot water today?”
Trisha replied. “I’m not feeling well, I’m on my period.”
Nicolas was taken aback and blurted out. “You have periods?”
Trisha paused, her face darkening. She gritted her teeth, “If I don’t have period, am I a man?” She pulled out an unopened sanitary pad from her pocket, dropped it into his hand, “I don’t need this, you keep it!”
With that, she stormed off.
Nicolas rushed after her, but it was too late. Trisha had slammed the door behind her and disappeared. He opened the door, but she was long

He held the sanitary pad in his hand, feeling a little uneasy. He was just joking, was it really that serious?
He turned around to see Cindy sitting at the dining table, her slender eyes slowly sizing him up, then she smiled, “So that’s your little chef, quite interesting.”
Nicolas stiffened, shooting her a cold look, “Don’t get any ideas.”
Cindy ignored his warning, leaning in to whisper in his ear, “Have you two slept together yet?”
Nicolas looked at her, their faces too close, quite intimate, but his eyes were devoid of any emotion.
He pushed Cindy’s hand away and said flatly, “None of your business.”
Cindy just laughed.
Ignoring the lunatic, Nicolas pushed her away. “Better call your agent to pick you up. If you stay longer than an hour, I’ll throw you out.”
Cindy rolled her eyes, “If you throw me out, tomorrow’s headlines will be about our reunion. I don’t mind, I’m single anyway. It might be nice to rekindle some old flames”
Nicolas grimaced. “Do you think I’m easy? Just go”
Cindy just brushed off his words and went back to her room.
