Everyone watched as Liam, who was just fuming with rage, immediately put his aura away upon hearing the woman’s words. He frowned unhappily. “How is this my fault?”
“Are you talking back?”
Liam closed his mouth, grumbling. “Got it.”
He then turned his face with an indifferent expression and let go of the man in his hand, coldly saying, “Get out, all of you!”
The crowd quickly rushed out of the room and even after they got on the elevator, their backs were still covered in cold sweat.
Unbelievable, they actually escaped safely?
And who the hell was this lady? Shw just said two sentences and made Mr. Reed obediently comply?
They all looked at each other, and after a while, a newbie reporter asked, “Do we still expose this news?”
A senior reporter gave her a glance, “You don’t want your job anymore? Who dares to expose with Liam’s attitude?”
“Just write about him and his wife.”
“We didn’t even get a shot of the woman’s face. You want us to write blind?”
The inexperienced reporter fell silent, contemplating Mr. Reed’s evident affection for his wife. With the restriction on writing gossip, she wondered
if she could please him by showcasing the couple’s loving relationship in an article. It seemed like a promising idea, didn’t it?
Little did this newcomer realize that her decision to start a column about Mr. Reed and his wife would lead to her promotion as the deputy editor–in–chief within just two years, all because Mr. Reed was genuinely pleased with it.
As the commotion in the room subsided, Celeste cautiously removed the scarf covering her face and inquired, “Don’t you lock your door? How did these reporters manage to get in?”
Despite not being photographed, Celeste couldn’t shake off her fear entirely
Liam replied, “Didn’t you hear what they said? They were here to capture news of me cheating.”
Celeste was taken aback, “How did they know you were in a hotel with me
Liam said, “I’m not sure yet, I’ve asked Owen to investigate. We should have results soon.”
He paused before adding. “Go freshen up, don’t stay here. Let’s head to the hospital first.”
With so many reporters able to barge in directly, who knew what else might happen? It was better to leave first.
