The man in the backseat patted Celeste’s face and said, “She passed out.”
The driver tidied up his clothes and grumbled, “She’s a tough cookie. Almost blew my cover Call Mr. Hale and tell him we got her”
Neither of them noticed the Chevy that had been tailing them from the Azure Club.
They drove straight to a hotel. Together they carried Celeste out of their Range Rover and took her up to a room via a private elevator in the underground parking garage.
In the swanky hotel room, they placed Celeste on the bed. The man in black couldn’t resist touching Celestes face, earning a slap from the driver
“Mr. Hale already warned us, “Don’t lay a finger on her Want to get yourself killed? the driver whispered.
“Can’t I just take a look? I’ve never been with a woman so beautiful, the man in black said, his eyes filled with lust.
‘After Mr. Hale’s business is done, you’ll have more women than you can handle, the driver said.
After setting her up in the room, they left hastily.
The person in the Chevy watched them drive away before making a call.
“Sis, they’ve delivered the girl to the hotel. Get someone to help me with the door,” he said after the call.
Mason returned home after leaving the Azure Club
After a shower, his housekeeper knocked on his door.
“What’s up?” he asked
“Someone just delivered this. They said it’s for you.” the housekeeper replied.
Mason glanced at the hotel card key in the housekeeper’s hand, frowned, and threw it in the trash before heading back to his room.
Not long after, his phone buzzed with a new message.
He didn’t pick it up until he finished printing out some documents.
The text was from Mr. Hale
Tve sent you a little gift. Hope you like it,” it read.
Mason smirked. Then he remembered the look in Mr. Hale’s eyes as he gazed at Celeste in the elevator
He quickly retrieved the card key from the trash, got dressed, and headed out
Seeing him leaving, his mother asked, “Where are you off to now?”
Tve got some business to take care of,” he replied as he put on his shoes.
“Why is it always in the middle of the night? You should listen to your grandfather and work at the company. At least it wouldn’t be so hectic, and it would give him some peace of mind,” his mother said
Thinking of Mason’s injury, she felt a pang of sorrow
“If I go back, will that really put his mind at ease?” Mason asked calmly.
His mother opened her mouth, but seemed unable to find a suitable response. After a moment, she said, “At least find a girlfriend, will you?”
“I’m on it,” Mason replied before heading out the door.
Clair supported Liam, asking worriedly, ‘Liam, are you okay?”
Liam, his head pounding, recognized Clair and said, “Phone Lend me your phone”
His breath brushed against Clair’s face as he spoke, and she quickly handed him her phone.
Liam took it, but he couldn’t dial. His vision was blurred and everything around him seemed to sway
He closed his eyes and mustered all his strength to say, “Call the police.”

The side effects of the drug were making Liam’s face red, and he soon lost consciousness.
