There’s no way Owen’s gonna pick up the phone.
Trying to book movie tickets on Valentine’s Day is like pulling teeth! It was hard enough for him to even snag tickets to Killer in July!
Seeing Liam furrowing his brows and trying to make a call for ages without success, Celeste sighed, “Never mind, I’ll check if we can refund or exchange the tickets.”
They went to inquire and were told that their tickets were for a special offer screening, hence non–refundable or exchangeable. And all the tickets for other movies at that time were sold out, unless they wanted to book the midnight session
Who would go to a midnight screening when Valentine’s Day would have already ended?
Seeing their hesitation, the ticket seller tried to convince them, “Actually, Killer in July has a lot of romantic elements. It’s perfect for couples It’s been really popular today,”
Celeste was doubtful. Who would watch a horror movie on a holiday?
“You could just go in and see if you like it. If you don’t, you can leave halfway. It’s better than letting the tickets go to waste”
Celeste was somewhat persuaded, as she hated waste. She held the two tickets and turned to Liam, “Shall we give it a try?”
Since they were already here and had taken the tickets, it would be a complete waste if they didn’t watch it.
Liam didn’t really care about what movie they were going to see. Since Celeste wanted to go, he naturally had no objections.
So they ended up watching a horror movie called Killer in July on Valentine’s night.
The ticket seller wasn’t lying. The occupancy rate of the movie was indeed high. When they walked in, the theater was mostly full.
And this was a couples–only screening, the seats were all paired
Owen had chosen a good spot, right in the center of the second last row.
Just as they sat down, the lights in the theater dimmed, and the movie started.
Celeste was a veteran movie–goer and had seen all kinds of horror and gore, but this was her first time watching such a film in a cinema.
The movie started off with a couple getting it on in a decrepit old mansion
Celeste almost spit out her drink.
The actors were extremely committed, dressed in scanty clothing, kissing passionately.
The sounds of gasping, panting, and moaning filled the theater, making everyone blush.
No one was talking in the theater. Thankfully it was dark, otherwise everyone’s expressions would probably be pretty awkward.
Celeste sneaked a peek at Liam, who was staring intently at the screen.
His expression wasn’t like he was watching a movie, but rather a documentary. If he had a pen, Celeste suspected he might even take notes, analyzing the pros and
cons.
The initial steamy scene lasted for five or six minutes, and then the screen finally lit up
The film was about a group of film school students about to graduate, who came to an old mansion in the mountains to find materials for their graduation film.
In the beginning, a group of five, three males and two females, trekked to the old mansion. After settling the rent, they moved in.
Among the five, there was a couple, a pair of almost–couple, and a single guy
At first, Celeste thought the film was like this: The atmosphere at the beginning of the film was particularly terrifying. The old mansion’s servant warned them not to go out at night, sounding very creepy
However, as protagonists of a horror movie, they never heed warnings.
The girl from the couple discovered a peeping Tom while she was taking a shower at night. She put on her clothes, grabbed a flashlight, and went out to find the person. She chased for a while, ending up in a church. The statue in the church looked particularly terrifying.
In the darkness, a person suddenly appeared, covered the girl’s mouth, and pulled her into the darkness Just when Celeste thought the protagonist was in danger, the scene suddenly changed The girl and the single guy started getting intimate in the church of the old mansion
Celeste was completely stunned.
