Liam seemed oblivious to her anger and said casually. “This dress doesnt sut you”
This perfunctory response made Celeste chuckle. “This dress was custom-made for me. How can it not fit? Liam, that excuse is just so
lame”
Liam frowned, looking a bit impatient
But he still held bac
his anger and said in a deep voice. “You can pick any of the best dresses in the store, but not this one”
He felt that he had already compromised a lot, but Celeste seemed to want to pick a fight with him, “What if I really want this one?”
Finally, Liam lost his patience and said coldly, “I said you can’t have this one”
Celeste pursed her lips
Kaylee was secretly delighted. “Celeste, the dress was custom-made for you but it’s my brother who’s paying for it. He can give it to whoever he wants.”
Celeste turned to Liam, but he didn’t seem to have any intention of stopping Kaylee
Celestes heart immediately felt cold
Seeing this, Kaylee became even more arrogant, “If you’re not satisfied, use your Campbell family’s money to buy it. Your adoptive sister is trying to make money every day, and you do nothing but want to spend our money living a comfortable life. I really don’t know why our grandmother agreed to let you into our family”
“Shut up!” Liam couldn’t bear it any longer and stopped Kaylee’s rude words.
Then he said to the manager. “Take her to get her makeup done.”
The manager immediately arranged for two assistants.
Kaylee pouted, although she didn’t dare to confront Liam directly, she still glanced at Celeste with a triumphant look as she left.
Celeste’s face was extremely gloomy. The energy she had just shown seemed to have been completely wom away by Kaylee’s humiliation.
She didn’t confront him as she had before. Normally, he would have thought this was a good situation because recently, her sharp tongue had been giving him a headache
But seeing her like this, he felt very uneasy. Liam hesitated for a moment before speaking, his tone somewhat stiff, “Pick another dress. You can get a more expensive one.”
Celeste looked at him, with a hint of mockery in her eyes, “First it was the cake, now it’s the dress, what’s next? If one day she wants me to give her my heart, would you agree?”
Liam’s heart tightened, and he said angrily, “What the hell are you talking about?!”
“Well,” Celeste shrugged. “You probably wouldn’t take it yourself. How could you commit a crime? Just create an accident, and if she wants something from my body, it’s just a matter of your word, right?”
“Celeste, enough!” Liam couldn’t suppress his anger, “It’s just a dress, I said you can pick any other dress, do you have to be so obsessed with that one?”
“Indeed, I shouldn’t be obsessed. It’s the Reed family’s money, what night do I have to ask for it?” Celeste lowered her eyes and said softly. “What I like and what I want has never mattered to you.”
Liam was so angry that he blurted out, “As long as you know!”
Celeste suddenly felt breathless, and her heart ached.
Liam didn’t want to argue with her anymore; he was afraid he would lose his temper if the argument continued.
