His ears turned red instantly; he widened his eyes and said, “When did I become cold–hearted?”
Celeste snorted, “Have you forgotten? Every time we sleep together, you run off to the bathroom and take a bath for one to two hours. Do you think I’ve dirtied you?”
Liam’s mouth fell open; he looked shocked.
Blushing, he said, “When did I ever think you were dirty? I just can’t control myself! The doctor said there’s a high risk of miscarriage if you get pregnant; how could I let you get pregnant?”
“Why don’t you use a condom if you’re afraid I’ll get pregnant?” Celeste thought Liam was just talking nonsense: “You don’t want to use condom, yet you say you’re afraid of me getting pregnant. You just want to enjoy yourself!”
Liam gritted his teeth in anger. “Why are you so forgetful at such a young age? Have you forgotten that you’re allergic to condoms?”
Celeste was stunned. “Wha…what?”
Liam wanted to use an X–ray to scan her brain, wondering whether she remembered these things or not.
Liam said unhappily, “Didn’t you sneak off to the hospital for a check–up after our first time? What did the report say? You can’t possibly forget everything, right?”

She seemed to have perhaps done that. After her first encounter with Liam, the next morning, after Liam went to work, she felt uncomfortable, painful, and hot. She thought she was injured or had a gynecological disease, so she rushed to the hospital.
When the diagnosis came out and it wasn’t a disease, she was relieved. She took the cream the doctor prescribed, applied it once, and the symptoms disappeared the next day.
As for the report, it seemed to mention something about an allergy. Since the report didn’t indicate a disease, she didn’t take it seriously and eventually forgot all about it.
Celeste found it hard to believe; Liam’s explanation completely overthrew her previous understanding.
She was still a bit puzzled: “I didn’t tell you I went to the doctor; how did you find out?”
Liam looked at her helplessly and said, “You reek of ointment; how could I not smell that?”
She had an anti–allergy cream on her bedside table, and he was a bit surprised when he saw it. He then sent Owen to find out what it was, and Owen got a hold of her medical record from the doctor.
The medical record read that after sexual intercourse, there was local swelling, congestion, and a burning sensation in her lower body; there was no medical history.
The doctor’s diagnosis was a suspected allergy to latex or maybe a lubricant.
The doctor suggested that they could try other brands of condoms, but he felt too embarrassed to bring this up with Celeste, so he decided to just ditch them altogether.
And the consequence of not using them was that Liam was overly sensitive and struggled with self–control.
