Celeste paused. “Do you know where, Mr. Fletcher is?”
Liam smiled faintly. “How would I know? I just want to take you home as soon as possible. Didn’t you say staying up late is bad for your skin?”
“I still need to give him a call.” Celeste looked at this jealous man from the corner of her eye. “Mr. Fletcher was protecting me just now; I don’t know if he got scalded by the hot water.”
Liam didn’t look too happy, but then he thought of something else.
If it had been Mason who blocked the pot of hot water tonight, could Letti have calmed down to listen to his explanation?

Celeste called Mason, and the call was connected after a long time.
“Mr. Fletcher–Mason, it’s me; aren’t you in the hospital now?”

As they left the hospital, a breeze blew by. Liam took off his jacket and put it on her shoulders.
Celeste was surprised. “Liam, what month is it now?”
Liam was puzzled. “August.”
“And the temperature?”
“Should be around 30 degrees.”
Celeste quickly took off the jacket and tossed it at him, saying, “Remember this! It’s freaking 30 degrees out here, and you want me to wear a suit?”

He gently bit his lip and said quietly, “I just wanted to make you feel warm. They told me girls like it when their boyfriends put their jackets on them.”
“it depends on the weather!” Celeste softened a bit, pretending to be angry: “I’m already sweating buckets, and you want me to put on another layer? Do you want me to get a heatstroke?”
She paused, squinting her eyes. “Who are ‘they‘?”
Liam bit his lip and said, “It’s nothing, not important.”
