Celeste felt disappointed Skyler was definitely a master of psychological warfare
She had been pondering for a long time, and Skyler’s words were watertight, leaving her no room to find flaws

Celeste scoffed, “Skyler, you’re mistaken. Didn’t Liam tell you I didn’t ask for anything when we divorced?”

Skyler’s face was serious when she heard Celeste mentioning her name, but her brows furrowed when she listened to her words. “You didn’t ask for anything when you divorced?”
Did Liam haven’t told anyone about their divorce? How come Kaylee didn’t know, and Skyler didn’t know either?
Skyler looked Celeste up and down. She was wore clothes from lesser–known brands, with prices ranging from tens to hundreds. Her bag was also a few hundred bucks, not looking like someone who had received a large sum of money after a divorce.
“Liam didn’t give you a penny?” Skyler said, a little surprised.
“Although we didn’t get along. I’m still a person who values old feelings. Name your price, and sell the precious band to me. The money you get can make your life a little easier”
Her tone seemed condescending, making Celeste uncomfortable.
“You really want to buy it?” she asked.
Skyler frowned, “Why else would I be talking to you so much?”
Celeste smiled, “Alright since you want to buy it, I’ll give you a price.”
Skyler looked at her
Celeste’s lips parted slightly, and she said softly, “One hundred million.”
Skyler’s face changed, “Celeste, are you out of your mind?”
Celeste blinked, “I’ve already been very restrained. If Liam came to buy it, it would be at least a billion.”

As Celeste spoke, she looked Skyler up and down “Could it be that Mrs Reed can’t even afford a hundred million?”
Skyler’s face turned red with anger.
One hundred million was certainly not a small amount for her. When she asked Celeste to name a price, she had only expected it to be no more than two million.
She didn’t even have a hundred million herself. How could she offer that much to Celeste?
She used to get five million a month from Liam, plus some company dividends, totalling about seventy or eighty million a year. But she was a big spender
To maintain her luxurious and elegant lifestyle in front of those ladies, she had to buy the latest styles of clothing and jewellery every season. She could barely save one or two million a year. How could she get a hundred million for Celeste?
Even if she really had a hundred million, she wouldn’t be dumb enough to give it to Celeste because she ain’t planning to sell that precious band. She just wanted to humiliate her.
“Celeste, you’re just jacking up the price, huh? How much is this precious band really worth? Don’t you know it in your heart? I’ll give you my final offer, two million. If you agree, I’ll transfer the money to you once I get the goods.” After saying that, she paused, “For you, two million is already a super high price. You better seize this opportunity.”
Celeste smirked, “Let me tell you, there’s no way I’m selling it for less than a billion.”
Skyler’s face turned sour instantly, realizing Celeste wasn’t budging and had no intention of negotiating.
Angry, she couldn’t help but grab the coffee from the table and splash it on Celeste’s annoying face.
