Everyone present was shocked beyond words, not just him.
Shawn’s scandal of having a secret daughter, Caitlyn’s death, and Celeste now being all alone in the Campbell family. The Reed family hadn’t even refused her yet, but she took the initiative to ask Liam for a divorce. To outsiders, she must have seemed crazy.
Liam was stunned, “Now’s not the time to talk about this.”
Shawn got anxious and scolded, “Celeste, what are you talking about?”
Celeste ignored his question and looked at Liam, “For me, now is the best time. Didn’t we agree that after your business trip, we’d get a divorce? You’re back now, so it’s time to fulfill your promise. Let’s get the divorce paperwork done now, so we don’t have to see each other tomorrow.”
Liam’s face noticeably turned cold.
Many people witnessed the scene. Celeste brought up the divorce at this time, so they would have no room to maneuver.

He clenched his teeth and said lowly, “I told you, let’s talk about it when we get home!”
“I don’t want to wait until we get home,” Celeste said firmly. “Don’t worry, I won’t take a dime from you, so you don’t have to worry about protecting your assets. All I need is a divorce agreement. I’ll leave the Reed family the same way I entered it.”
Nicolas saw the situation and hurriedly advised, “Sister–in–law, don’t say that. Aunt Caitlyn just got buried. If you’re mad at Liam, just scold him at home.”

“Celeste, I’m asking you one last time. Do you really want a divorce?”
“I’ve never been more certain than at this moment,” Celeste said emotionlessly, looking at Liam. “Give the title of Mrs. Reed to whoever wants it. I’ve had enough.
Liam’s heart was trampled on in an instant.
She said these words in public, even though he had been longing to see her for the past few days.
She had messed up her own life and wanted to end it just like that. Liam’s pride made it impossible for him to bow down and ask her to stay.
He clenched his fists, with his voice low, “Tomorrow morning at nine, see you at the Civil Affairs Bureau to get divorced.”
Mr. Robinson frowned and whispered, “Mr. Reed, calm down.”
Liam was too furious to listen.
Celeste frowned, “Are you busy today?”
Liam gritted his teeth, “Today is your mother’s funeral!”
Even if they were getting a divorce, they couldn’t do it today.
But Celeste sarcastically said, “You weren’t even here when she died.”
Liam didn’t want to stay any longer, and he turned and quickly walked away.
Skyler glanced at Celeste and left too.
