“Mom, I know you’re mad at me, but now is not the time to be angry. I’m in the hospital, and life is more important. After the surgery, you can scold me however you want.”

Trisha didn’t have time to marvel at when her mother became so generous, she went to the hospital with the money to find Celeste.
Celeste was waiting for her at the hospital entrance.
As soon as Trisha got out of the car, she saw Celeste’s frail figure.
Her eyes were filled with red bloodshot veins, her lips slightly pale, and her usually energetic face now seemed almost translucent.
Without wasting time, Trisha quickly pulled Celeste along, saying, “I’ve brought the money, let’s go pay the fees first.”

Celeste’s eyes dimmed, “He’s on a business trip.”
Trisha angrily said, “What kind of damn job is that?! Every time he’s needed, he’s not around. What’s the point of having him as a husband?!”
Celeste remained silent, not saying anything.
Trisha suddenly remembered, “You said on the phone that your bank card couldn’t be used. What happened?”
Celeste frowned, struggling to say, “Liam’s mom froze all my cards, so I can’t use any of them for payment.”
“What the hell?! Does his mom have a problem? Why would she do that?!”
“She knows Liam and I are getting a divorce, so she wants to prevent me from transferring assets.”
Trisha was speechless with anger for a moment. After a while, she angrily said, ” Is her purpose to prevent you and Liam from getting divorced?!” Celeste didn’t want to discuss the issue anymore.
A little while later, a nurse came to call for Caitlyn’s family to sign some documents, and Celeste got up to do so.
Trisha wanted to call Liam and ask what he was doing, but his phone was unreachable, which made her curse a few more times.
She thought he could help, but he turned out to be as useless as ever!
Suddenly the chair next to her vibrated, and Trisha turned to see that it was Celeste’s phone.
The incoming call displayed the name “7 million dollars.”
She pressed the answer button.
“Celeste, I got my friend to help find that property division agreement.”
‘Is that the handsome guy who drives the Bentley?” Trisha knew it was Mason right away, after all, his voice was both magnetic and distinctive, so she blurted it out.
Mason was taken aback, “You are…”
“I’m Letti’s good friend, Trisha. The nurse just called her to sign something in the operating room, so she’s not here right now.”
