Owen chuckled, “Who taught you to talk like this?”
Coco snorted, “I can surf the internet too. I don’t know what her fans like about her; she’s so hypocritic.”
“Don’t you like her? She’s the one who can save your life.”
“That’s because Uncle Liam is a fool with money, giving her money. Otherwise, she wouldn’t save me.”
They thought she was a child who didn’t understand anything, so they didn’t avoid discussing certain things in front of Coco.
Every time that woman was called to the hospital by Uncle Liam to donate blood for her, she ask for something in return.
Sometimes it was a role in a script, sometimes an endorsement, or a car, a handbag, and so on.
Anyway, she always left with something, and she was very caring towards Uncle Liam when he was around, but when he wasn’t, she didn’t pay
attention to him.
Children may not know the word “greed,” but Coco was already a bit aware of Sydney’s displeasing behavior.
Owen just smiled and didn’t continue the conversation.
Children are very sensitive to adults’ feelings.

She frowned, “Hasn’t anyone paid this month?”
The staff shook their heads and told her that the payment had been delayed for several months. It was only after they called that someone came to pay, but this time it was the longest delay, almost two weeks.
They also printed out the bills for the past few months, clearly showing the last payment date and the expenses for the past month. Because of the delayed payment, the account still owed the hospital $20,000.
Caitlyn was a long-term patient at the hospital, having been there for nearly seven years. So a few late payments weren’t a big deal, and most of the time, the payments were made as soon as they were requested.

Helen chuckled, “Forgot to tell you, your dad and I already got hitched. Legally speaking, you should be calling me ‘mom’ now.”
Celeste was furious, “You ain’t worthy of that title!”
“Whether I’m worthy or not, our relationship is legal. Celeste, since you know what’s going on, let’s cut to the chase,” Helen said casually, “Regardless of your parents’ past, your dad has been bearing for your mom’s medical bills all these years. If you’re gonna ignore their feelings, don’t blame us for being heartless. From now on, we ain’t paying a dime for Caitlyn’s medical expenses. Since you’re so capable, you can take care of your mom all by yourself.”
