“Pffft!” Celeste frowned and slapped the back of his hand. “No shit, Sherlock! Does it hurt when I press on your wound?”
Both her elbow wound and Liam’s head wound were from bumping into things on the cruise ship.
Not only were her elbows injured, but her knees as well.
Liam glanced at her. “I thought you wouldn’t feel any pain.”
As he spoke, he took a cotton swab, dipped it in medicine, and slowly applied it to her elbow.
“This medicine was specially made by a doctor for my grandma. It’s very effective in treating bruises and injuries. One–time use and you’ll see
results.”
“Really? Then let’s take it with us when we leave,” Violette suggested. Getting injured during filming was a common occurrence, and bruises were not only unsightly but also painful. If this medicine proved to be as effective as claimed, it was only natural for them to want to keep it for themselves.
Liam squinted. “My grandma only has this one bottle, and the doctor is traveling the world and won’t be back for at least a year. She treasures this medicine so much that when Kaylee hurt her foot from falling off a horse, she didn’t even let her use it. And you want to take it away?”
In other words, fat chance.
Celeste pouted, thinking: She dumped such a big mess on me, what’s wrong with asking for a bottle of medicine?
“Honey, can we talk about something?”
Liam tensed up immediately. Last time she started like this, she asked for their wedding room.
He pursed his lips, put down Celeste’s leg, which was clenched in pain, and said coldly, “There’s nothing to talk about.”
Celeste pouted. “I haven’t even said what I want to talk about yet!”
Liam glanced at her. “Would you ever discuss something good with me?”
Celeste rolled her eyes. “Why did you say that? Of course, I’d discuss good things with you.”
Liam remained unmoved, threw away the cotton swab, and began to clean up.
Celeste followed him, nagging, “Look, Grandma’s 80th birthday celebration must be a big deal, right? Booking a venue, decorating the scene, stage performances, security measures, and so on, everything costs money. You know I don’t have much, and it’s definitely not enough. So can you advance me some money? Not much, just 5 million. After the birthday party, I’ll pay you back with 10% interest. You won’t make that much by keeping the money in the bank for a year. Invest in me, and you’ll see a return of 500 thousand in a month. Where else can you find such a good investment project?”
She passionately promised him, like a loan shark in a documentary, constantly urging him to invest.

Liam immediately grabbed her wrist. “We haven’t finished discussing. Where are you going?”
Celeste glared at him. “I’m going to borrow from someone else!”
Men always try to profit from others, not even letting go of a little bit of money!
Liam calmly said, “Do you have a friend who can lend you 5 million?”
