Celeste smiled and said, “I was just helping Mrs. Rowley out. “Mastermind of Law” was their company’s project. She couldn’t find an actress and thought I looked okay, so she asked me to act in it. I was just trying it out.”

The wives had nothing to say. Celeste was far from just okay. Her beauty was absolutely captivating.
Thankfully Liam married her, or every other lady would’ve felt threatened, her face would make any man fall in love at first sight.
Mrs. Kelley glanced at Sydney and suddenly chuckled, “Actually, we outsiders don’t understand acting. We’re not professionals who can tell good from bad at a glance, right, Ms. Denton?”
Celeste frowned at Mrs. Kelley.
Why was it her again? Liam had won money from her last time, and apparently she still held a grudge.
Sydney said gently, “I’m just an ordinary actor. I can’t claim to be a professional.”
“Ms. Denton is too modest. If you’re not professional, then there’s no one in the entertainment industry who can claim to be. Celeste said she was just trying it out, so maybe you could just casually review her performance, and we’ll just casually listen to it.”
Mrs. Kelley finished speaking and smiled at Celeste, “Ms. Campbell, you don’t mind, do you?”

Biting her lip, Sydney replied, “I wouldn’t say it’s deep, you know. I’ve just acted a lot, so I’ve gotten the hang of it over time.”
Celeste put on an “oh, I see” expression, and asked humbly, “So, Ms. Denton must have won lots of awards for acting, right?”
Sydney’s face changed slightly, her fingers involuntarily clenched.

nomination.
