On the other hand, Old Mr. Campbell was excited. He insisted on buying swimming trunks when they passed a shopping mall but was finally persuaded otherwise.
Liam glanced at Celeste, who kept yawning. “Did you really need to stay up all night to film that “Mastermind of Law” episode?”
Celeste had told Liam that she was filming last night. He thought she would only be gone for a short while, but she didn’t come back until it was past 5 AM.
Yawning again, Celeste said, “Night scenes have to be filmed at night. How can we capture the same effect during the day?”
Before Liam could say anything, Celeste put on earplugs. “Wake me up when we arrive.”
With that, she closed her eyes.
Liam frowned in dissatisfaction. He had pushed aside much work to accompany her, and all she wanted to do was sleep?
When Celeste woke up, they were already at the ferry dock.
The ship was particularly magnificent. With a height of six to seven floors, it was more impressive than the one she had taken during her vacation.
Once Old Mr. Campbell stepped out of the car, a crew member promptly provided a wheelchair for the elderly gentleman.
Old Mr. Campbell initially rejected, but one look at the height made his knees go weak from a fear of heights. He sat in the wheelchair without further protest.
Many people were already gathered on the deck. As soon as Liam arrived, people greeted him.
Exhausted, Celeste got her room key and instructed Owen to take care of Old Mr. Campbell before returning to her room to sleep.
She slept soundly, waking up to find the daylight fading.
She opened the curtains and saw the sun setting outside. Orange hues reflected on the shimmering water. The sky and sea were stunning, with fish occasionally leaping out of the water, looking delicious.
Yes, she was hungry.
Last night, she had only eaten a late–night snack during the filming. She went home and slept, not having eaten anything since.
It was already six o’clock. Hadn’t dinner been served aboard the ship? Liam hadn’t come to get her either.
Celeste freshened up and left her cabin.
The deck was brightly lit and bustling with people dancing and playing board games.
She looked for Liam and Old Mr. Campbell, but couldn’t find them. Just as she was about to call Liam, she spotted Mason.
“Mr. Fletcher?”
Mason was chatting with friends and was a bit surprised to see her. He quickly scanned her surroundings and asked, “Why are you alone here?”
“I just took a nap in the cabin and when I woke up, I couldn’t find Liam. Have you seen him?”
“He was just here with Nicolas. I’ll help you look for him.”
Celeste waved her hand, “Don’t worry about it right now. Do you know where I can grab a bite? I’m starving.”
Mason paused for a moment, chuckled softly, and said gently, “Follow me.”
Since there was a party on the deck tonight, dinner time was quite late. There was actually a snack session in the afternoon, but Celeste missed it because she was sleeping.
Mason took her straight to the kitchen, where they were preparing food for the evening. When the staff saw someone entering, they tried to shoo
them away.
The head chef was Spanish, so Mason started communicating with him.
Mason’s Spanish must have been pretty good. Even though Celeste couldn’t understand, seeing the chef nodding continuously made her believe that the conversation went smoothly.
After they finished talking, the chef took them in, gave them a pot and some ingredients.
Celeste was a bit puzzled.
