Just as Celeste finished posting on Twitter, she heard a noise from upstairs, like something falling to the floor.
She hurried upstairs and pushed open the door to see Liam sitting on the floor, his head bumped and swollen. He sat there with a confused expression.j
Celeste couldn’t help but curse, “Serves you right.” She squatted down and waved her hand in front of Liam, “Liam, can you
hear me?”
Liam frowned at her, his eyes squinting and his mouth tightly shut.
He was always like this when he was drunk.
Some people, when drunk, either sleep or talk nonsense. Liam was different: his brain seemed to stop working when he was drunk, but on the outside, he looked fine. In reality, his mind was a mess.
Liam’s drinking capacity was well–known among his friends. He always tried to avoid drinking when doing business or attending parties, but if he couldn’t, he’d conspire with friends for help.

Liam rubbed on his temples.

Liam closed his eyes, hoarsely saying, “You always… make me so annoyed. You want to divorce me, argue with me, and ignoring me annoys me the most.”
Celeste hesitated for a moment, then asked softly, “Why would you be annoyed if I ignored you?”
Liam didn’t say anything with his eyes closed.
Celeste looked down and saw that Liam had already fallen asleep.
She sighed, hoping he wouldn’t say such things that made her care anymore.

Sydney anxiously asked, “How is it? Still no one answering?”
Palmer shook his head, “Owen said Mr. Reed has an important dinner tonight and told us to handle it ourselves.”
Sydney frowned, “Did you say exactly what I told you?”
“Yes.”
Sydney gritted her teeth, “It must be Owen taking matters into his own hands!”
Last time at Grandview Villa, Liam got drunk and she almost succeeded. But at the critical moment, Owen suddenly appeared and took Liam away.
