Chapter 162
When Celeste woke up again, she found herself in the hospital.
Trisha was dozing off by her bedside.
She tried to move and realized that there was a needle in her arm, and the medicine from the IV was dripping into her body.
“Hey…”
As soon as she opened her mouth to speak, she found her throat dry and sore, and she couldn’t help but cough a few times.
Trisha woke up in a panic and asked anxiously, “Letti, you’re finally awake! You scared the crap out of me. What happened? How did you suddenly pass
out?”
It seemed that Trisha didn’t know what happened last night. Celeste didn’t have time to explain and hurriedly asked her, “Where’s Liam?”
“I haven’t seen Liam. Last night, a so-called Mr. Francis called me and said that you had fainted and were in the hospital. He told me to come over right away.”
Nicolas called? Then where was Liam?
Celeste closed her eyes, her head throbbing with pain. She vaguely remembered seeing Liam before she passed out, but that was all she could recall.
He was there, but where was he now?
“Where’s my phone?”
“Right here.”
Trisha handed her the phone. “The screen is cracked. I haven’t tried turning it on yet, not sure if it still works.”
Celeste looked at it, and indeed, the screen was shattered. Probably broken during the scuffle with the bad guys last night.
She pressed the power button, and thankfully, only the screen was damaged, and the display was normal.
After turning on the phone, there was a text message from Zach, asking her to come to his studio at 9:30 this morning for an audition.
Celeste pursed her lips and checked WhatsApp. The unread messages were all from various groups, and none were from Liam.
She clenched her phone, a sense of loss welling up in her heart. Her finger lingered on Liam’s number for a long time before swiping open the dialing interface and looking up at Trisha, “Can you drive?”
Trisha nodded.
“Take me to a place.”
Trisha asked in surprise, “Now?”
“Yes.”
On the way, Trisha found out that Celeste was going to Zach’s for an audition and got super excited. But when she heard it was just a minor role, she was a bit disappointed, “With your face, if you play a supporting role, the audience will wonder if the director is blind.”
Celeste laughed, “As long as I can act, I’m happy with even a small role. Only by taking the first step can you take the second and the third…
