The maid placed the bowl of medicine on the table, and unwrapped a chocolate bar in front of Celeste.
The maid said, “This is chocolate extra sweet. After drinking the medicine, bite into it, and it won’t taste so bitter.”
Celeste sighed.
Taking her medicine always felt like a battle that annoyed her. Remembering Skyler’s words at the hospital, she took the bitter medicine, downing it all in one shot to the maid’s amazement.

She put down the bowl, drank some water, and the taste in her mouth gradually faded.
“Martha, I’ll take my medication on time from now on. You don’t have to report everything to her like you’re doing now.” Celeste said. Martha’s face changed, “I don’t understand what you mean…”
Celeste glanced at her, “My mother-in-law sent you here to take care of us, primarily to ensure I take my medication, right? I will do that. As for other matters like my arguments with Liam or our intimate relations, please don’t tell her.
