Chapter 1198
Leonard Hann took a glance, gave it back, and said, “I don’t smoke.”
Liam chuckled, “It’s not a lighter, just a little toy a friend gave me. I don’t really care for it, but I figured you kids might like it.”
Leonard Hann was slightly irked at being referred to as a kid, but perked up at the mention of a prank toy.
He looked up and asked, “It’s not just a squirt lighter, is it? It’d be a waste of a good design if it was”
Liam shot him a look, “You think I’d go out of my way to give you that?”
It’s not a squirt lighter? Leonard Hann’s interest was piqued again, “Then what is it?”
Liam handed him his phone with a picture on it, “Check the manual.”
Upon looking at the phone, Leonard Hann’s eyes lit up.
He kinda wanted it. But it was a gift from Liam.
He was the ex–husband of his goddess. If he accepted this gift, wouldn’t he be throwing all his principles out the window?
With that thought, Leonard Hann coughed, “No work, no reward. I can’t just take your stuff for free. Name your price.”
Liam glanced at him, “Letti sees you as a little brother, so I naturally see you as pne too.”
Leonard Hann was quick to deny any relation, “You are you, and she is she.”
He pulled out his phone and transferred five grand to Liam, “I’m not mooching off you.”
As if he would accept a gift from his rival! How could he compete with him then?
Even though he was at a disadvantage now, as long as they weren’t married, there was still a chance.
Liam sighed, “Whatever you say
Leonard Hann watched Liam pocket the money before finally leaving with the item.
Liam looked at his phone to see over a dozen messages from Nicolas.
The last two read, “Are you giving it or not? If not, I’ll go ask your wife. I have no shame!”
Liam transferred two grand, “Shut your trap”
Nicolas instantly received it, “What about the other ninety–eight grand? When are you sending it?”
Liam set him to ‘do not disturb. Out of sight, out of mind.
Nicolas pocketed the money and immediately called Trisha, “Hey, little bandit, weren’t you going to help me buy cat supplies? When are you coming?”
Trisha replied, “I’m out getting food; I’ll come when I’m done.”
“Getting what food? I haven’t eaten either. I will treat you!”
Trisha was surprised, “Did you find some money?”
Nicolas clicked his tongue, “Do I need to find money to treat you?”
As he was speaking, he grabbed his coat and headed out, “Where are you? I’ll come pick you up.”
“I’m at the north gate of our complex.”
“Give me ten minutes.”
Leonard Hann found the private room and tidied up his clothes at the door.
He had an event today, but his dad called midway through to tell him they were having dinner with their cousin.
Leonard Hann was different from others; he had never met his aunt, so he didn’t feel too attached to this newfound cousin.
But having another person his age in the family actually made him quite happy At least now he could use his cousin as a shield when Sheldon Hann scolded him. Since she didn’t grow up in the Hann family, she couldn’t possibly be better than him, right? He wouldn’t have to be at the bottom of the pile and get scorned by Sheldon Hann.
