After Shawn left, Lucilla’s demeanor changed noticeably as she lifted her head to look at Helen.
“Really? Then why’d you call me over? What are you worried about?”
Helen’s face tumed serious instantly. “You’re so young, why are you doing something so disgraceful?”
Lucilla smirked a little. “Ma’am, wasn’t that how you got to Mr. Campbell in the first place? No matter how hard I try, I can’t get into Mr. Campbell’s circle. Now that i have this chance, tell me, should I seize it or let it go?”
Helen turned pale with anger, “Do you really think Shawn would marry you? Dream on! He just wants the baby in your belly. Once the baby is born, we’ll see if he still cares about you!”
Lucilla chuckled and lowered her head
Helen, looking at her expression, felt both fear and disgust because Lucilla reminded her of Caitlyn, forcing her to face her unsavory past.
