Chapter 1083
After a detailed introduction from the agent, Cindy barely remembered who Sydney was.
She couldn’t remember her face, just her never–changing makeup.
“Why does she want to interact with me? Do we have any recent collaborations?” Cindy asked again.
The agent remained silent.
Then he explained the recent incident with Celeste and her conflict with Sydney on social media.
“Celeste? Liam’s ex–wife,” Cindy mused, “Her beauty could rival mine, too bad she’s not a lesbian.”
The agent smiled, “I’m not discussing looks with you, we’re talking serious business! Sydney wants to interact with you on Twitter Will you accept?”
Cindy calmly replied, “Sure, I might as well use this chance to increase my popularity.”
The agent mocked her. “Do you really need this opportunity to boost your fame? Are you lacking in popularity?”
Cindy glanced at her, “Don’t you always tell me not to offend people? Since she’s taking the initiative to reach out, wouldn’t it be rude if I refused?”
The agent was speechless.
After Sydney got a positive response from Cindy, she tweeted congratulating Cindy on her new drama’s success.
Then she waited for Cindy’s response. After about half an hour, Hanson saw Cindy’s new tweet and said before even reading it, “Cindy tweeted
Sydney hurriedly asked, “What did she post? Did she mention me?”
Seeing Hanson’s silence, Sydney frowned and asked, “What’s wrong?”
Hanson handed her phone to Sydney. Looking at the screen, Sydney almost passed out from anger.
Cindy had posted a screenshot of Hanson’s message with the caption “Successful interaction“.
This was no interaction, and it was a blatant insult.
It was a slap in the face for Sydney.
Furious, she immediately deleted the congratulatory tweet and unfollowed Cindy.
Liam didn’t come home for lunch, making the house seem a bit dull.
After lunch. Celeste rested for a while, then went upstairs to the gym for a slow run.
Not long after, her phone rang
Seeing the caller ID, she got off the treadmill and hurriedly answered.
“Hello, Grandma.”
Sienna Reed blurted out, “Celeste, Bubble is missing!”
Celeste paused, then quickly suggested, “Maybe it’s hiding at the bottom of the pond? Try luring it out with some food. It’s very greedy and will surely show up.”
Bubble was one of Sienna’s goldfish in the pond, bought the same year they moved into the old house with Old Mr. Reed and has been kept in the pond ever since
Bubble was even older than Liam and looked very robust.
Of all the pets Sienna kept, Bubble was her favorite
A fish that big couldn’t just disappear without reason, so Celeste thought the most likely scenario was that it was hiding.
Sienna was like, “No, no matter how much I call it, it doesn’t come out. Robinson just netted all the fish, and they’re all there except for Bubble
Someone must have stolen it!”
*Really? Bubble is pretty big, and it wouldn’t be easy to just swipe it.”
“Do you think it could just hop out of the pond and leave?”
This was the first time Celeste had ever come across something like this.
“Grandma, when was the last time you saw Bubble“”
“It was here yesterday morning!” Sienna was freaking out, “Could it have turned into a person and run away?”
Celeste tried to calm Sienna down. “Let’s have Robinson check the surveillance first. I’m going to call Liam and see what he thinks.”
After hanging up with Sienna, Celeste stood on the rooftop of the second floor, dialing Liam’s number.
As she waited for him to pick up, she idly looked down into the yard, only to see a big golden fish swimming in the pond.
