Chapter 1055
Nicolas was worried she might get hurt. So in the nick of time, before she could tumble down, he swapped positions with her, taking the fall first, leaving Trisha to land heavily on top of him.
With a loud “thud,” his head seemed to be the first to hit the ground.
Trisha immediately cradled his head, her hands massaging the back of his skull, a look of concern on her face. Nicolas was touched by her reaction, his heart melting.
“Does it hurt?” She asked while rubbing the back of his head, “You could have pushed me away, why did you fall with me?”
Nicolas answered, “I actually wanted to push you away. But you held on so tight, I couldn’t”
Upon hearing this, Trisha elbowed him and got up. “You deserved that fall!” She said angrily
Nicolas clutched his chest, sitting up, chuckling. “Actually, it really does hurt.”
Trisha simply shrugged off Nicolas complaint, coolly replying, “Serves you right ”
Nicolas got up and gently said, “You carry on, I’m going to the restroom.”
Trisha didn’t pay him any mind.
Nicolas laughed before turning around and leaving. As he closed the restroom door. He took a deep breath, looking down at his lower body, feeling the headache.
He had always been confident that Trisha wasn’t sexually attractive to him, but now the reality seemed to be the complete opposite. Just a bit of physical contact was enough to arouse him.
He had never had such problems before. But now, facing Trisha’s clear eyes, he felt ashamed of his sexual desires. He feared scaring her more than being caught in a lie.
He suddenly understood what Liam meant – true love was not about indulgence, but restraint.

Nicolas showered in the restroom, trying to cool down. When he came out, Trisha was already sleeping on the couch, hugging a cushion
The blanket had been kicked aside, her two fair feet curled up, looking cute and chubby.
Nicolas squatted next to the couch, watching her for a while before whispering, “Trisha? Trisha?”
There was no response from the couch. Nicolas looked at her pouting lips and couldn’t resist kissing her. At first, he kept himself under control. But as the kiss deepened, he began to lose control, becoming more and more urgent, until Trisha let out a short whimper due to lack of breath That was when Nicolas snapped back to reality.
He let go of Trisha, stood up, staring at her enticingly red lips. His heart was pounding.
He quickly grabbed the blanket, covered Trisha, and then went back to his room.

Mason stared at the flashing screen on his phone, his eyes dark.
There was a knock on the door, Shanna’s voice came from outside, “Mason, are you asleep?”
He turned off his phone and replied, “Not yet”
Shanna gently opened the door and came in.
She was wearing pajamas, holding a cup of tea in her hand. She walked over slowly and put the tea on the table. “Meg told me you didn’t eat much tonight, are you not feeling well?” She asked.
Mason smiled, “No, I’m just not very hungry.”
