Leonard can hold his booze pretty well. Same goes for Celeste. Only Liam is a bit of a lightweight.
But he knew his limit, so he didn’t drink much
Celeste, on the other hand, was a bit tipsy. Her face had turned red, and her speech was slurred.
“Leonard, spill the beans. How much do top stars like you rake in a year?”
Liam, on the other hand, was cool as a cucumber, sipping his tea. He thought to himself, ‘At least she’s not throwing money at people anymore. She’s just curious about their eamings. That’s progress, I guess.”
Seeing Leonard keep mum, Celeste started to guess. “30 million?”
Leonard shook his head.
“Then, 50 million?”
Leonard still shook his head.
“Could it be 100 million?”
Leonard didn’t shake his head this time
Celeste immediately clung to his arm. “Leonard, teach me how to become a top star like you. I want to make the big bucks too.”
Liam gently took her hand and placed it on his own arm. I’m right here”

Liam brushed a stray lock of hair from her cheek, speaking softly. “And then what? Propose to me?”
Celeste shook her head, mumbling after a while, “If I earn more, I can buy your time. She closed her eyes, murmuring, “I don’t want you to work so hard.”
Liam was taken aback, then he chuckled, his eyes softening.
He said, “Let’s take a vacation when the first snow falls.”
“Can we
go for two weeks“”
Liam pondered for a moment, “I’ll try to squeeze out at least ten days”
Celeste instantly brightened up.
Had Liam said. “We can go for as long as you want,” she would have known he was just trying to placate her.
But he gave a specific number. Celeste knew he was serious
That’s what she sought in a relationship a partner who would take her feelings seriously. Even if Liam couldn’t take two weeks off due to work, she wouldn’t blame

Leonard watched their interaction, feeling a pang of envy
Liam could guess her thoughts from a single gesture. Celeste, even when drunk, was still concerned about his work.
The atmosphere between the two of them simply didn’t allow for a third party.
As the dinner came to an end, Liam, carrying a drunken Celeste, called out to Leonard.
Leonard still didn’t like him, but he didn’t despise him as much anymore
Liam said, “I have a friend who’s good at code optimization. Want me to introduce you?”
Leonard was taken aback “Why would I need to know him?”
Liam glanced at him, pausing for a moment before saying. “You can choose not to meet him. You can leave your game’s issues unresolved, keep making up for your game investment losses through acting, borrow from bank to pay debt until you’re left with nothing, let Steven mock you.”
Leonard glared at him “you investigated me?”
Liam brushed off his anger. He gently rocked the woman in his arms, speaking in a calm voice. “I need to know who’s around the woman I love. You can take it as
me being nosy.”
With that, he tumed to leave with Celeste
