He picked up the photo, scrutinizing it carefully
The kid in the picture, around four or five years old, wore a little dress, a frown plastered on her face. Her hair seemed long, but it looked like a wig from a hat
She clutched a pink leopard doll, standing by a pool. The pool tiles were in an old–fashioned grid pattern, and there was a little duck by the pool that squirted water
Liam froze, the memory hitting him. This was the old Garcia family house.
He’d been there countless times as a kid, following his father. Steven had told him that the duck would spin around, coaxing him to sit on it. He fell for it and ended up soaked to the bone
That guy had always been a mischievous prankster since childhood

Owen opened his mouth, finally saying “Didn’t you grow up with Steven? Haven’t you ever thought about this when looking at your wife’s face?”
Liam frowned, “How would I remember what Steven looked like as a kid?”
Owen thought, thank God he doesn’t remember, otherwise he might assume Liam had a crush on Steven and chose Celeste because she looked similar, due to
societal pressures

If the Garcia’s daughter was Celeste, how could Caitlyn not know?
