Chapter 144
It was the first time that Amy came to the Warner Group. Looking at the magnificent building with its exquisite and luxurious decoration, her eyes were envious.
In such a working environment, Amy felt excited thinking that she could be with Drake.
However, she did not have the qualifications!

It was noon when Amy arrived so the security guards at the gate are changing. With this, no one noticed that she entered the building and went straight to Drake’s office.
In the office, Drake is busy processing documents. He had already asked Jane to help him prepare lunch. As Drake’s personal secretary, although Jane did not want to do these things, she could only compromise.
As soon as Amy entered the office, she saw Drake working at the desk. He was wearing a well–cut black suit. At work, he looked even more handsome causing Amy’s eyes to widen with admiration.
Hearing the sound, Drake thought it was Jane, so he didn’t look up and just said indifferently
“Put it on the table first, don’t leave, and eat with me.”
Hearing Drake’s words, Amy was overjoyed. She personally brought Drake her own soup.
After hearing Drake’s words, Amy put the soup on the table and poured it into the bowl. She slowly walked to Drake’s side and said,
“Brother–in–law, let’s eat first. Don’t tire yourself out.”
Hearing Amy’s words, Drake suddenly raised his eyes and looked at Amy, his brows frowned.
“Why are you here?”
“Brother–in–law, I made some soup for you. You see, you usually work so hard so you definitely don’t have time to eat properly. This is the soup I made myself. I just made this for you.”
Amy put her sweetest smile and voice. However, Drake gaze was still frighteningly cold.
“Who let you in? Get out!” Drake’s attitude was not good, and he scolded her coldly.
Hearing Drake’s words, Amy’s face became gloomy. But when she thought of her purpose, she said shamelessly,
“Brother–in–law, why are you being so cruel to me? What exactly did I do wrong? I can change it. Brother–in–law, don’t be so indifferent to me, okay?”
After saying that, Amy leaned closer to Drake, wanting to get closer to him.
Drake pushed her harshly and kept a distance from her.
“If you won’t leave on your own, then I’ll let the security come up to escort you.” After saying that, Drake was about to call the security room. When Amy saw this, she quickly held Drake’s hand and
looked at him pitifully.
“Brother–in–law, don’t…”
Drake stopped, looked at her coldly, and motioned for her to leave.
“Brother–in–law, why are you treating me like this? What’s wrong with me? Unlike my sister, I’m wholeheartedly devoted to you. Why can’t you see it? Look at my sister. Not only did she have a cold attitude towards you, but she also had children with other men. You can accept her and yet why it can’t be me? I really like you.”
Amy’s affectionate confession paired with wet eyes could make a man fall, but Drake still looked at her coldly.
“Even if Jane isn’t your real sister, since you call me brother–in-law, then you should know how to be polite, righteous and shameless. Don’t you think it’s disgusting to express your love even though you know who I am?” Drake replied.
Hearing this, Amy’s face turned pale.
“Brother–in–law… I know it’s wrong for me to speak ill of my sister, but I really like you. I don’t care about your status or anything. I just need a little sympathy from you.
Amy’s words were touching, expressing that she wanted to be with him even if she was unknown.
However, Drake had no interest in such a woman at all.
“Brother–in–law…” Amy did not see Drake’s disgust and still pushed with it.
Jane brought the prepared lunch over, and as soon as she entered, she saw Drake and Amy close together.
Especially when she looked from the doorway, she felt that the two of them were so close together that an unknown fire rose in her heart.
When Amy saw Jane’s return, she began acting.
“Sister, why are you gone for so long? Brother–in–law would starve.”

Drake is getting close to other women.
Hearing this, Drake looked at Jane’s expression and suddenly pouted.
“Are you jealous?”
Hearing this, Jane reacted and restrained the expression on her face.
“Mr. Warner, you think too much. Why do I have to be jealous? It’s your freedom to ride on other few boats as long as you don’t interfere with my freedom to make friends.”
“Hmph, you’re my legal wife. I care about you.” The man said domineeringly.
Hearing his words, Jane’s face felt uneasy. Drake Immediately faced Amy and coldly said, “You can get out. If you do this one more time, I’ll let the security kick you out.”
Hearing Drake’s words, Amy’s face turned pale. When she looked at Jane, she became even more jealous.
However, when Jane looked at Amy, she felt a little sympathy rose in her heart.
Once upon a time, the person who was kicked out by the security guards was her. At that time, she really loved Drake.
As for Amy in front of her, she was afraid that she just wanted Drake’s wealth.
Amy left in despair, but the unwillingness in her small eyes showed that she would not give up.
As soon as Amy left, Jane was about to leave for lunch but she was pulled by Drake.
“Join me for lunch!”
“I ate already.” Jane struggled, not wanting to be with him.
“Then eat again.” Drake did not allow her to refuse and pulled her to sit down.
Jane was helpless and is forced to join him for dinner.
In the afternoon, Jane received a call from Andrew.
Because of all the previous experiences, Jane did not intend to answer the phone and hung up.
After work, a car stopped directly in front of Jane. The window rolled down. It was Andrew’s gloomy face.
“Get in!” Andrew snapped.
