r to escape as well.
(Chapter 62 (b)
As he was still grabbing her by her hair, he walked to the door while he still had his hand on her hair. “Let me go!!” Camilla continued shouting, hoping that someone would hear her. But they were in the underground part of the cabin and the rogue was certain that no one would hear her unless they found the passage going down.
The rogue looked at where the stairs were before he went in the opposite direction. There was a way out on the other side which they intended to use once something like this happened. They continued walking but Camilla was smart enough to scratch her skin on the wall to give Alec and whoever she thought was coming for her. Her scent had started to come back, so the rogue had no idea what she was doing. She continued yelling and shouting to divert the rogue’s attention and would never notice what she was doing.
Outside the cabin, the rogue Lycans were being defeated by the palace warriors as Alec and the others continued getting into the cabin. They were welcomed by a single Lycan rogue and, without thinking, Alec jumped at him. He was sure that his friends would come to his rescue when necessary. Clay took the rogue from him and had him go and find Camilla.
“I am going after him.” Freya said and Clay nodded as he fought. Not a little longer, Matteo and Rapha came. He took the rogue from Clay and immediately subdued him.
ere are Alec and Freya?” Matteo asked worriedly,
“They went that way looking for Camilla,” Clay replied, and they both ran on the way to where Alec and Freya went.
“How come this cabin seems so big on the inside?” Clay asked.
“It is elevated. The opening was the only part we could see from the outside. This cabin was built almost at the edge of a hill,” Matteo answered. He could smell his mate so they just followed their scent.
Alec and Freya found the room where Camilla was but they were too late. They looked around but couldn’t see any door and were about to go back when Freya stopped Alec.
“Wait, I can smell her here.” Freya said and tried to follow the scent and slow their movement. They walked carefully just in case there were traps in there.
“What’s going on?” Matteo asked as they caught up with them. Freya didn’t answer and concentrated.
“Here,” she said and sniffed as she continued walking as the others followed until they reached a dead end. “This is not right, it was Camilla’s scent, I knew it. It was on the wall so I was sure that she had left it for us,” she murmured and continued thinking as she felt the
wall. “The wall, try to find a door or something on the wall.” she said, and everyone rushed to look for a possible passage.
“In here!” Alec exclaimed and tried to push something. Matteo and the others help him. But Freya accidentally touches a button like a rock and the door opens.
“Her scent is stronger here,” she exclaimed, and they all agreed.
“Clay, go back and tell Rapha and James to meet us on the other side.”
“Yes, his highness,” he replied, and started to go back outside. Hoping that they will find Camilla sooner.
As Alec, Freya and Matteo go in, Camilla’s scent has become more evident. They were sure that they were near her and would catch up to her and whoever it was who had her.
Alec ran as fast as she could because he could already feel and smell his mate. He sighed in relief that he was certain that Camilla was not hurt at all. Matteo and Freya ran too, and didn’t want him to be alone.
Without a warning, Freya suddenly shifted, which made Matteo do so. He was sure that she had sensed something for her to do, She passed
let
Alec and jumped, catching a Lycan by his neck who was forced to go
of Camilla he was holding by her hair.
After seeing that, Matteo jumped at the rogue as well and took charge, while Alec went after Camilla. “You’re here.” Camilla said, crying.
“Of course, I love you so much that I didn’t want anything to happen to you,” Alec replied. He looked at his mate thoroughly, checking whether she was hurt or anything.
“I am fine. They haven’t managed to hurt me yet.”
”
“Thank goddess,” Alec replied, and looked at Matteo who was fighting the rogue and Freya who was now walking towards them, fully clothed, smiling and feeling relieved. She thought that it was such a good thing that everyone was OK.
