“We better go tonight. Hopefully, the fight is over and we can sneak past them” I say and she places her cup down on the counter.
“Sounds like a plan and you better get some rest before we leave!” she says and she is right. I need some more strength if we have to run a far
bit.
The rest of the day we talked and tried to see what was going on outside, but we couldn’t see a thing and I decided to take some hours to sleep before it’s time to go.
Falling asleep on his bed I snuggle in his hoodie to feel his scent close to me. I have no idea for how long I had been sleeping when I woke up in the late evening by, pain down my other shoulder.
Holding my hand over my shoulder I wait for the pain to subside. It’s the same pain I felt before and if it’s him then he is hurt again!
Sitting up in bed when the pain starts to subside, I’m drenched in sweat and turning my head to look at the watch I see it’s close to midnight. We are supposed to leave in one hour and I better take a shower first.
Turning on the light on the nightstand I get up from the bed and head right over to his bathroom. Turning on the lights I take his hoodie off me and look at my shoulder but not a scratch is shown.

Is he hurt badly?
My stomach drops at the thought he is badly injured and I can’t stand the thought it’s because of me and my family. Anger is boiling under my skin while I take off the rest of my clothes and walk over to the shower and turn it on.
If my family got him and torturing him I will get back at them for this! No one comes here and hurts my mate!
Stopping by the door I just realize how I’m ready to fight for him, a thought I didn’t think would ever cross my mind. Not after everything that happened.
Adjusting the temperature. I get under the water spray and feel the warm water run down my body. Closing my eyes for a short moment and let it pour before I start to wash up.
Shampooing my hair I rinse it out and wash my body before I turn off the water. Hearing a noise outside the room I stop in my motions and listen. Did I hear it right?
I hold my breath for a moment and listen if it comes back but not a sound is heard.
Grabbing a towel I get out from the shower and start to dry my body on it when I hear a sound outside in his bedroom again and this time I’m sure of it.
“Liz?” I say out loud and hoping it’s her. Who else could it be?

“Liz?” I ask again when I don’t get any answer, but still nothing comes
in response.
I stop wiping my body and wrap the towel around my body instead. Whoever is outside there isn’t Liz or she would have answered me at the first question. Then it has to be one of the maids.
Holding the towel tight around my body I walk over to the door and open it to his bedroom. Coming outside the room is completely dark and I don’t see anything inside the room.
Stopping by the doorway I know I’m not alone in here and a chill runs down my spine when I hear a low growl coming from the corner in the
room.
Turning my head that way I take a slow step to the side. I know the door out of the room is just a few steps away and the only way I could escape whoever it is that’s inside here.
Slowly moving another step when I hear the growl again before a light is turned on in the corner and my eyes take a second to adjust and see who it is.
My eyes fall on Darian’s body where he is sitting in an armchair in the corner, he has a pair of black pants on him and a white unbuttoned shirt. Part of his muscular chest is shown and his abs moves when he breathes deeply.
He growls again and I snap my eyes to look at his face when his black eyes stare right back at me, and I know I’m looking at his beast.

My breath hitches in my body by the sight of him and I have to take a step back to get some support from the wall when he growls a deep growl at me again and it makes me weak in my knees.
“Darian!” I manage to whisper out while my mouth suddenly feels dry.
“Drop the towel!” he says in a deep dark voice that hits straight to my core, and it starts to pulsate by its own free will. I can’t control it when I hear a deep growl again.
