Darian pov
Getting on the bed I lay on my side and look at her breathing. Her soft skin too tempting not to touch and I can’t resist the urge to feel her under my palm.
Placing my hand on her good shoulder I softly trace my hand down her upper arm and feel tingles play under my palm while I trace it lower. They aren’t as strong as they were the first time I met her but I can still feel them.
Her breath hitches when I feel her skin get goosebumps under my palm. Looking at her I wonder if what she said is really the truth! Doesn’t she feel the bond when I touch her?
Turning my head to look at our son he is laying on the pillow with closed eyes while his little hand is placed on her other arm. Listening to his breath I believe he is asleep.
Her scent lies heavy in the room and I have to take a deep breath. Moving my head closer to her neck I take a large sniff on her shoulder before I have to press my lips to her soft skin and a low moan is heard from her lips when she stirs a bit on the bed.
“Why are you sniffing on Mommy?” I hear his voice and instantly snap my head up to see him looking straight at me before he slowly moves closer.

“It was nothing!” I say quickly and have no idea what to tell him.
“Go back to sleep!” I say when he gives me a side eye before laying back down on the pillow.
Trying not to move or do anything that has our son to be suspicious I wonder if he even knows werewolf exists! Or what has she told him?
Following her jawline with my finger and down her neck, only to test my theory once again. She starts breathing heavier and I hear a soft moan leave her lips and now I’m certain she feels something and what she told me was a lie!
I don’t blame her for lying! The pain I have caused her is more than enough for having her to hate me for the rest of her life. But now I know she feels something and I will not let her escape from me!
I lay on the bed beside her and feel her skin under my palm when I trace my hand over her body for a long time, loving the feeling of her close to me. Enjoying every minute of it and could stay like this for days and only listening to her soft moans leaving her lips once in a while.
Trying to tease the bond to wake her up but once the nurse comes back after several hours, I take a look at our sleeping son before I slowly get up from the bed and let her examine her wound.
Walking out of the room I close the door when I head over to the living room and find Chase sleeping on the couch. Thought he would have gone to his flat instead of sleeping here!

Looking at the watch I see it’s already four in the morning and it’s better I let him sleep and don’t disturb him.
Turning around I head over to my office instead and open the door before I turn on the light and walk inside.
Walking over to my office desk I turn the computer on and head out to get me some clothes and a cup of coffee before I go back and search what I’m looking for on the computer. There is no way I will get any sleep tonight, too much on my mind since she told me the truth!
Once I’m done I take a seat at my office desk and start to search, there has to be some information to find about werewolves losing their wolves by a rejection. I know it’s rare but I won’t give up until I know

Hours go by when I hear heavy footsteps walk in the hallway and closer to my office, I know it’s Jeffrey before he appears in the doorway.

“Couldn’t sleep?” he asks me while he walks inside and take a seat in front of my desk.
“No!” I say and sit back in my seat and look at him.
“It was a close call! We are lucky the guards got alarmed when she took too long to get in her car or who knows what could have happened!” Jeffrey says and I drag a hand down my face. The moment they mind linked me I knew something was wrong.
We were closer to the outskirts of the city and following up on some new traces a couple of my guards had come across. I left a few guards watching her from a distance and when they saw her close the door to her work they waited down the street for her to drive by.
I have ordered my guards to follow her from a distance and have her to calm down a bit since my original plan didn’t work. But if I had known what I do now I would have doubled the guards around her all the time. She is defenseless without her wolf!
“Is everything taken care of?” I ask him even if I know he wouldn’t leave any loose ends no matter what.
“Yes! They were only humans and no trace is left after them!” he says when I hear another pair of feet in the hallway and this time Chase comes walking inside while he is stretching and yawning.

raise an eyebrow at him. He walks over and takes a seat in the other chair while looking between us.
“What?” he says questioning and I just shake my head at him. This is the third couch I have bought because he doesn’t like them but this time he choose the couch himself.
“It was your choice!” I say to him when he shrugs his shoulders. I have four guestrooms in my flat but he always goes for the couch, and every time I get sick of hearing him complain about the couch even if I have changed them so this time he got to decide instead.
“I couldn’t have known it’s not a good sleeping couch!” he states like it’s no problem in changing it again.
“I’m not going to change it, and take a guestroom instead next time or go home to your own flat!” I state and look at him
“And miss all these sexy nurses you have here! Never!” he says with a smirk and I sigh.
“Can’t wait until you find your mate! “I say and turn to look at Jeffrey.
“I need some clothes for both Aliza and Noah! Here I have written down their sizes!” I say and hand him a note, I know he is good at handling every task I give him and this he will have fixed in a few hours.
