Turning off the shower, I quickly get out and dry my body on a towel before I pull a shirt over my head.
It feels a lot better after this long and cold shower, but I need to check how it’s going with Heidi and Liz.
Liz just helped me get inside the house and to the stairs before she left me to help Heidi with the rogues.
Now I just have to make sure they are fine.
Stepping out of the bathroom, my eyes land on Darian’s, where he stands inside the room and looks at me. His gaze is dark, and I already know he is angry.
“Darian,” I gasp out, and I see him take a long look at me when his eyes travel over my body. No one of us says a word for a moment, and you can almost touch the tension in the room.

“You left without my permission and without any guards,” he says in his dominant voice, and I get goosebumps all over my skin just by hearing his voice. I know he is holding back his anger when I hear a low growl coming from him, and I have to swallow the lump in my throat.

He raises an eyebrow at me when I take a deep breath and feel how my body starts to tremble in anger and sadness over this whole thing. Now that I have started, I might just get it all out in the open.

But let me tell you something, I didn’t ask for this.” I say to him and point at my body when my voice cracks in the end and I feel a lump form in my throat.
