Looking at the phone, fear starts to creep up my spine. Why isn’t it working?
I place the phone down and get off my desk when pain hits me in my stomach and I have to take a deep breath before it goes away. Once the pain eases I start to look around.
Following my phone around the desk I look for somewhere they have cut the wire but nowhere is it cut. I know there is another one in the kitchen and I instantly walk out of my office and head over there.
Picking it up once I come into the kitchen it’s as dead as the one in my office and now I feel how my hands start to sweat. This can’t be happening! It just can’t!
I have to hold onto my counter and try to sort all my thoughts that are spinning around in my head. My mobile phone disappeared from my car and I don’t have anything else here than my house phone. My car is wrecked and there is no other way for me to get out of here if I don’t
walk.
I can’t get a hold of Liz and no one knows I went with Frederic if they didn’t see us leave so that’s a dead end as well.

I feel how sweat starts to run down my forehead just at the thought my sneaking away for a few hours might turn into something I don’t want to face… An Angry Darian at my doorstep.
The pain in my stomach comes back again and I know I puked up all my breakfast and I haven’t eaten anything else since yesterday. It might be because lack of food that it’s starting to hurt right now.
Turning around I start to look through my cabinets if there is anything left that they haven’t thrown out in my cabinets. I can’t call her or let her know I’m here so I just might as well start with the most urgent problem I’ve got.
Open one of my cabinets I store food inside I see a can of ravioli and one with some beans. That wasn’t what I had hoped for but if I don’t find anything else it will just have to do.
Taking a look inside the other cabinet I see the dog food we bought to give Darian and I feel pain in my chest by just thinking about him. I didn’t think I had let him in my heart that much but I just realize how much I actually have.
Sighing I close the doors again and take out my can of ravioli and place it on my sink before I open it and start to look after a pot to heat it up on the stove.
Standing beside the stove I try to get it warm while I go through my options once again. Walking back would take me about forty minutes if I walk fast and hopefully, I would make it there in time.

My food is warm enough and I take it off before I search for a fork. Placing my pot on the sink I take my fork to pick up a piece before I pop one in my mouth and start to chew.
It tastes alright and I take my time to eat it when the pain starts to come back and I drop my fork when I have to hold on to the sink, I don’t understand what’s going on.
I don’t know if the food helps or not but I try to eat it all before I wash it down with a glass of water. Placing the pot in the sink I wash it and wipe my hands before I turn to look at the door.
