Aliza pov
I can’t keep watching them and I quickly get back behind the shelf when Liz does the same. Closing my eyes for a second when I hear some footsteps walk closer and stop on the other side.
“He is occupied with Amber, it’s best if we don’t disturb them right now!” I hear a woman say when Liz grabs my upper arm and I turn my head to look at her.
“They do look good together and ever since they spent that night together he has had a good eye for her!” I hear another woman’s voice say and my stomach drops just by the thought he has spent a night together with her.
Then it’s his feeling for her I felt!
Liz’s eyes dilate at their words and I know I can’t hold it against him who he has been with during these years but it hurts, worse than I thought it would do!
“I really hope he gets rid of the other who is supposed to be his mate, she isn’t worthy of being his Luna when she doesn’t have a wolf. What does she think she can give to this pack?” the first woman says again and my legs start to shake by their words. My bottom lip starts to tremble and have to bite into it to stop it.

“Yeh! Amber would be more fit to be his Luna, too bad his mate didn’t die in that accident. It would have been much easier for them to choose to be their mates instead and she looks so much better!” one of them says and I have a hard time standing up straight when I feel Liz’s grip on my arm increases.
I don’t mind the pain from her grip, I rather take that than the pain I feel in my heart right now and I can see how angry she starts to get.
“I’m certain he would have chosen her as his mate if not for the wolfless pathetic one who had to show up when she did!” the other one says when I hear some heavy steps walk closer from the other side.
“What are you two standing here for? Get back to work!” I hear his father order out in a hard tone when I see Liz turn her head that way.
I can’t stand here if he finds me, he will know something is going on with me and I know anyone that lays their eyes on me will see I have my feelings outside my body right now. And just the smallest word will have me breaking down in a sob and if it’s one thing I’m not going to do is to give them that kind of satisfaction.
Shaking Liz’s hand off me, I start to walk back the way we came from as soundlessly as I can, and hope none of them will see me. I just need to get me away from this floor and out of this building, I need to hold myself together that long!
A big lump is stuck in my throat and I just swallow and try to focus my legs on moving forward. My only goal right now is to get myself out of here before I break down in a sob.

“Where are you going?” I hear his father’s voice behind me but I just keep walking.
“We need a bathroom urgently and change clothes, women’s emergency!” I hear Liz answering him quickly behind my back and at this moment I couldn’t be more grateful for her quick thinking. What she used as an excuse will not often be questioned and I hope he let it be.
“We will be back in a bit!” she says when I have reached the elevator and start to press the button. He doesn’t argue about it or force us to stay!
Seeing the stairs to the side I can’t stay here and wait for the elevator to arrive or I’m certain I’m going to suffocate with how hard my heart is squeezing in my chest.
I don’t wait for another second and start to bolt down the stairs as fast as I can. Hearing some other fast steps behind me I know it’s Liz without having to turn around to look.
“Aliza wait!” I hear her say when I reach the other floor and move fast over to the other stairs. This is the only thing I can focus on right now, just to get out of here!
Coming down the last steps I turn around the corner and see several of his guards standing by the entrance. I’m quick to avert my eyes when I see one of them turning his head my way.
