“Aliza, don’t talk like that!” she says and I hear some heavy steps further down the hallway.
“Ready?” his father says and I wipe away my tear before turning around to look at him.

“Yes, ready!” I say and start to walk over to the elevator with Liz behind me.
“You know what, I can take her over there now when the city is safe! I have my car downstairs” Liz says when we all have gotten inside the elevator and the doors close.
“You can go in your car if you want, but I will follow behind you over there!” he says and I get this feeling he doesn’t trust us.
“That’s fine!” I say when the elevator slowly moves down, and for each floor we pass I try to only breathe. There are some things I want to talk with the doctor alone about, can’t have anyone of them listening in on the conversation.
The elevator stops at the ground floor and the doors open up when I take quick steps outside. I almost lose my footing when I see the car outside that I took shelter inside standing to the side and not much is left of it.

“You know it was pure luck Jeffrey followed the rogues over here and manages to alarm Darian you were here. He could hold them off until Darian got here and they both took care of the rogues before he got you out of the car!” his father says and looking at the car I can see how lucky I was they got there in time.
Looking at how wrecked the car is I understand his anger over the situation I had put myself in and at the same time I hate to feel this weak. Before when I had my wolf I felt strong and certain about myself and the strength I had with Alpha blood in my heritage. I could take on several wolves and fight my way out of a situation and my strength when I ran was something else.
But now all I am is broken and I wish I could go back to my old life where I lived among humans instead of this mess. I didn’t feel this way there!
I feel Liz hook her arm in mine and start to drag me over to her car when she opens the door for me and pushes me inside before she walks around to the other side and gets in behind the steering wheel.
“Now you listen to me Aliza, and snap out of your dark thoughts!” she says before she starts the car and pulls out onto the road. I don’t say anything and wait for her to continue.
“I don’t like how your thoughts are going and if Darian knew what you are thinking he wouldn’t have it!” she says and I’m lucky he can’t sense my feelings through the bond without marking me.

problem!” I say and sigh before looking out the window when she pulls up in front of the entrance to the hospital.
“You are not weak! And it’s clear you have let him back into your heart! It’s a good thing Aliza!” she says when I open the door and walk outside. Closing it after me when I see his father pull over in his car and get outside as well.
I know I have let him back in my heart and because I feel this strong for him I want what’s best for him and this pack.
Liz hooks her arm in mine before she whispers to me.
“You are not alone, we will figure this all out!” she says before his father walks up behind me.
