Chapter 1
Aliza pov
His grip on my jaw increases when I try to avoid making eye contact with him, I know when he is being this way if I do anything to trigger him more, I will be the one ending up regretting it worse.
If I could stop breathing to have him let me go I would easily do it but today he is even worse than he usually is!
“Have I made myself clear? You will not come back here unless you have done what I told you!” he spits at me before his face comes closer to mine, his whiskey breath is fanning my face and I try to hold my breath.
“Answer me!” he barks and I try to give him a nod to get him to release my jaw. I don’t want to do what he is forcing me to do, if I can find a way out of this I will take it.
He growls at me before he drops his hold on my jaw, I take a deep breath and try to wait for the pain to subside.
Taking a step back and looking at my mother who is standing behind him for some help, she can’t think this is alright!

“Mother!” I say in a low voice to her when she adverts her eyes and looks the other way.
“Your mother demands the exact same thing as me and if you want a pack to come back to you do what you are told!” my stepfather says to me with venom in his voice, feeling betrayed and let down by my own mother. If my father the real Alpha of this pack were still alive none of this would ever happen, he was a good leader and kind, and I always felt loved by him.
He died during a fight by the borders a late night and when the warriors and his Beta came back to the pack my mother where about to die right in front of me on the floor, to save her I saw when my father’s Beta claimed her and made her his mate.
I where only nine when it happened but from that day everything changed, the love I once felt where gone and my mother started to distance herself from me.
I remember the first hit my stepfather gave me for standing up for myself, at the beginning I tried to hold on to my memory of my loving mother and father but with every day passing my life turned more into a hell. I became my stepfather’s punishing bag whenever he wanted to hit someone, the day my little brother where born I hoped it would change for the better but instead, it only became worse when he saw his son as a disappointment. than anything else, he has tried to make him tougher but these days I try to save my brother from all the beating even if I get hit instead.
All these years I have learned to not depend on anyone else and fight for myself, I’m the next in line to become the rightful Alpha of the pack but these years my stepfather has done everything wrong and almost put the pack on the edge to go bankrupt.

“Now, the car is here any minute and your mother has packed a bag with some clothes for you!” my stepfather. John barks out and a chill runs down my back from his aura, I know he could easily force me to do this and then it would leave me in a worse position if he even let me live another day.
Clenching my hands in fists I try to breathe and have my body to relax before I slowly start to move out of the kitchen, stopping right by the doorway I turn to look at my mother one last time. When my eyes land on her face she turns her head the other way instead, ignoring my silent pleading even if I know it won’t help.

been by my side through all these years. She is more like a mother to me than my real mother!
Slowly I start to walk over to where she is when she hands me the bag and leans forward to wrap me up in her arms.
“I tucked what I could inside your bag if you need to run, you know I love you like my own daughter and only want you to be happy!” she whispers to my ear while I try to push away my tears, the few times I feel loved and get a hug from her it almost has me breaking down in a sob.
The car is here you better get out before he coms at you again!” she says and breaks the hug when I take a last look at her, she has tears in her eyes and I have a hard time
walking away when several footsteps are coming out from the kitchen.
“Take care!” I say to her before turning around and heading for the door. Before I reach it it’s opened and one of his men comes walking inside when I see who it is a cold chill runs down my back. I have never liked the man and his wandering eyes, he is disgusting and I know for a fact he has several other women besides his mate every week.
“Bill here will go with you to make sure you go through with it! I’ll be over in the morning for the Alpha meeting and you better have it done before I arrive!” I don’t say anything in response and look at Bill where he stands by the door with a mischievous smile on his lips.

28A Wouchery
Holding my bag in my hands I start to walk out of the door and down the stairs when I see my little brother comes running up the lawn.
Take quick steps to the side when he reaches me and throws himself around my neck, placing my arm around him I hold him tight to me.
“Sis, I don’t want you to go!” he plead to me when I feel Bill grab my arm and start to peel my brother away from me.
“I’ll be back soon, don’t worry!” I say to him when I get dragged over to the waiting car and pushed inside the back seat before Bill closes the door. Keeping my eyes on my brother I don’t want to leave him, I was ten when he was born and my eighteens birthday was last week. He is only eight and too young to defend himself against his father, at least he got our mother on his side. She tries to protect him and I know she does everything she can to keep him safe, but the opposite to me!
Hearing Bill walk around the car and open the door on the other side before he throws my bag on the seat between us, once he is in the car he closes the door and leans over to my side, and places his hand on my thigh.
“You can start driving the car while I give this little girl a lesson how to please a man!” he says and I feel how all my blood leaves my head when the car starts to move and
