Isabella’s POV
It was a lot more than Alexander’s mom hinted that it would be and a whole lot more than I expected too. Like we agreed, I didn’t go to work and it didn’t bother me as much as I thought it would but perhaps it was because I couldn’t think of work even if I wanted to with how hectic things were becoming. The Alpha wing was packed and I forgot to even bother whether Alexander would be happy with having so many people in his personal space even though he actually wasn’t there. Besides, it wasn’t like I was the one inviting them; Alexander’s mother had taken complete charge and with how exhausting each day was, you’ll think I was indeed going to work.
I still made sure to instruct everyone to do their jobs carefully and as orderly as possible to which they tried their best to abide by. The rumors had finally died down to the best of my knowledge. I mean, I haven’t visited any cafes or shops lately but I’ve had a lot of maids around me and I’ve not heard a single word from any of them even at times when I was in a different room. And even if the pack house maids had magically learned to completely avoid gossip, I’m good at assessing body and facial language and they did not seem like they were judging me or anything. It was hard to believe that everything was all over just like that and I wondered if Alexander had anything to do with it.
“Good morning Luna.” The maid that just came in said with a bow, “I’m hear to take your measurements.”

I narrowed my eyes, “Haven’t I already had my measurements taken?”
She giggled softly and I raised my brows, “I know Luna, and this wouldn’t be the last time either.”
Alexander’s mom soon appeared by my side and gave me a small encouraging nod, “It’s either that or we’ll ask you to go into a strict diet.” She leaned in to whisper into my ear, “Alexander warned that we shouldn’t do anything too unhealthy.”
My eyes widened, “Too?”
She burst out laughing, “I was joking. Now let her take the measurements. Fingers crossed, the dress even gets ready soon enough.”
“But she has more than a week…”
She tsked, “Oh my dear, perhaps it’s a good thing you’ve always dressed beautifully but this is your coronation dress, it‘ s going to be unlike anything you’ve ever worn and you’ve worn some beautiful dresses.”
I smiled softly, noting how she kept throwing in compliments. Her motherly warmth had fully returned and she doted on me like I was the daughter she never had. It was almost like she was more excited about the ‘big day‘ than I was. Scratch that. She was definitely more excited about it than I was. I had never had or even been to a coronation before but she had. I was anxious and did not know what to expect, she wasn’t.
I raised my arms so the maid could take my bust measurements and couldn’t help it when I whispered, “I don’t think these are going to grow any more than this before that
day though.“,
I didn’t mean for anyone to hear me but my Alexander’s mom did and she chuckled. “What a thing to think of.”
“Luna.” Someone called and both Alexander’s mom and I turned before the girl sheepishly pointed to me as the person she was talking about. Technically, until the coronation, Alexander’s mom was still the Luna but as she had let me know, that would stop no one from calling the Alpha’s mate the Luna anyway and I had begun to get used to responding to the title. Being ready to bear the title fully though, that was another case.
“Um, I was told to find out your favorite colour.” The girl said and I sighed, I’ve been answering questions like this for almost a week. “And your favorite flavor of frosting as well. Well, technically, we’ll need three flavors to offer a selection but it still must be based on your likes.”
I look towards Alexander’s mom who was beside me and she just nodded at me as if to say, ‘go on‘ with an amused smile on her face.
“Write orange flavored frosting. I don’t trust your taste buds.” Caleb said from over my shoulder as I took hold of the pen. I jumped slightly, not realizing that he had come to stand behind me just before I wrinkled my nose.
“I can see why I did not think to ask you in the first place.” | said with an eye roll.
“I have a very unique palate.”
“You can cater to your very unique plate when you have your own coronation.” I said with an amused chuckle. Caleb just

scowled and walked away, probably to go and flirt with some girl like he had been doing all morning.
Since Alexander couldn’t be with me the entire day like he would want both because he had work to do and his mom
would shoo him away anyway, he had resorted to sending someone that he trusted to stay with me all day until he got back. In his opinion, too many people go in and out of the wing everyday and he couldn’t trust anyone after the incident which shall not be mentioned. Okay, fine, after the last time when I had been kidnapped by his evil twin. This was going to be another big event just like that day and although he didn’t actually say anything to me about this, I could tell that he was worried. The actual reason he gave to me was so that the club incident did not repeat itself. It was also a valid reason even though it meant that he didn’t think I could protect myself from bullies.
The problem with the days when he sent Caleb though, was that whenever Caleb was my…bodyguard for the day, my ears would be filled with nothing but his cocky, puke–inducing pick up lines and the girlish–giggles of whichever maid he was flirting with at any moment. I can’t wait till he finds his mate and I get to fill her in on all his escapades.
It was getting close to lunch time when Alexander’s mom got up and volunteered to cook us all lunch. All in good time because I had an early breakfast and my stomach was on the verge of producing some very embarrassing noises. I would have cooked myself but I was secretly hoping that she’ll want to do it cause Alexander’s mom’s cooking is just wonderful. In a couple of minutes, the beautiful aroma of whatever it was she was cooking filled the entire place and just when I was about to get up to assist or be near the food at least, a maid popped in front of me and I sighed.

“What is it this time?” I groaned.
She pushed an iPad into my hands, “Pick three hairstyles that are to your taste.”
I raised a brow, “Three?”
“Yes, one is going to be picked at the end of the day when your gown is ready.”
I shuddered, dreading to think of what the morning of the coronation would look like. Are they really going to stick pins into my hair three different times just to decide what hairstyle is best? And I thought my mother’s stylists were mad. I picked three hairstyles anyway and Alexander’s mom appeared out of nowhere to oversee my choices and when I had picked she nodded proudly, “Very Luna choices.” She said simply before going back to the kitchen.
I followed her this time and it wasn’t long before I was helping her pull out plates for her to dish out the food. She told the maids and all the other staff that they were excused and that they could go and have the lunch she told Mrs Cole to prepare for them downstairs. They bowed appreciatively before filing out, leaving Caleb to scowl as the maid he was talking to left him. He came to join us at the table though and instantly started shoveling down the food.
“Someone’s hungry.” I snickered and Caleb rolled his eyes at
- me.
“It’s not my fault my aunt’s cooking is better than yours would ever be.” He shrugged and I narrowed my eyes.
“She’s not your aunt though.”

“I adopted her.” He said to the Luna’s amusement. “Interesting that you didn’t deny that you couldn’t cook to save your life.” He said, childishly sticking out his tongue.
“Why would I fight you on that? I know my cooking is good. Alexander can testify.”
“Alexander is your mate. He’s biased.”
I glared at him, “No, he is not!”
“Yes, he is. Alexander is whipped, there is no way he’s going to tell you that your cooking is terrible.”
We all heard the front door open just before I could throw hands and a few seconds later, Alexander walked into the dining room. “I’m pretty sure my name was being thrown about just a while ago.” He said, sounding amused as he went to hug and peck his mom in greeting before coming to stand behind me.
I pointed straight at Caleb, “It was him! He said my cooking is, terrible and you won’t admit it because you’re my mate. He hasn’t even tasted my cooking!”
