treatment she could take before she finally cracked. Besides it’s not that easy to reject an Alpha and especially one of Alexander’s position. I know he just started his rule but our pack has a legacy and his ancestors, our former Alphas have all been very powerful. The only way I could reject Alexander was if he committed a very horrible crime against me like killing someone I care about or sexually abusing me. Otherwise, I’ll have to wait for him to accept my rejection before it was valid and something told me that Alexander would refuse to accept my rejection.
Apart from the fact that it’ll hurt his pride, I think Alexander knows that it’ll be easier to bully me while I still have the connection of the mate bond. I bet he knows it’ll hurt more…cause it does. The feelings are still there. The slightest contact of our skin and I’ll feel tingles. His scent still remains the sweetest thing my nose has ever inhaled and it still intoxicates me whenever we’re in the same room. I still feel the pull of the bond towards him and it’s like my wolf and my body betraying me because it only makes it hurt more how he doesn’t seem to feel these same feelings.
It hurts as hell for someone you have these uncontrollable feelings for to bully you the way Alexander does me.
Stepping out of the elevator on the grand floor, I tried to remember my way to the kitchen. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the pack house kitchen and I hoped I don’t get lost. It took a while of flipping through my memories and a few wrong doors before I finally got there. It was a large kitchen with restaurant-standard decor and equipment. The pack house was home to lots of werewolves, after all, and this kitchen fed many. It was mostly empty when I walked in and I made a beeline for the coffee machine.
It took a while to find everything I needed and when I did, I started on the coffee. Mrs Cole came in moments later and I spared her a

smile. Mrs. Cole was the head cook in the pack house kitchen and has been since I was a child.
“Is that little Bella?” She said with her eyes wide.
“Not so little anymore, Mrs Cole,” I said and she laughed.
“That’s right, my dear. What do you expect when I never see you? Making coffee.”
I nod, “The Alpha needs twelve cups for a meeting he’s having.”
She narrowed her eyes, “Oh? Couldn’t someone else have done this?”
I sigh, “I’ve been wondering the same thing, Mrs Cole.”
She still looked a bit confused before shrugging and going to open one of the cupboards. “Well, let me help you.” She said, placing down a stack of Styrofoam coffee cups and a carrier.
A few minutes later, we were done pouring the hot coffee into cups and placing them into trays. I thanked Mrs Cole for her help with a small smile but she just waved me off, telling me that it was alright and it was more of her job to make coffee than it was mine anyway. She had managed to help me put my anger for Alexander at the back of my mind for a while but immediately I turned I almost bumped into someone and a string of curses flew out my mouth immediately.
“I’m so sorry.” He said and I thought he was lucky for speaking first because if I did, I wouldn’t have been nice.
I looked down and was grateful that I had not spilled the coffee because not only did I not want to have to start over but if I ruined my dress or shoes, Alexander would pay. When I looked up again,

the guy was still there and I raised my brow. Why was he still standing in my way?

“Hey, you’re the girl from training this morning, aren’t you? The one who beat Blake.” He added with a smirk. “I’m Caleb.”
“I hate to be rude, but I really don’t have time for chit chat at the moment. I have an unreasonably grumpy Alpha to attend to.” I said and when I sidestepped him to go my way, I thought I heard a small chuckle from him and I guessed it was because of how I described Alexander.
I was just getting near the elevator when I saw Tanya. I cursed silently to myself. Even my secretary doesn’t get to do this kind of job. I could see the look of surprise on her face as her eyes darted from my face to my hands but I ignored her and beckoned silently. She hurried up to me and I passed on a few instructions before waving her away.
The elevator was empty and I was glad. I would hate to run into so many people while doing such a demeaning errand. Looking through the glowing numbers, I tapped the number for Alexander’s office and the door closed. I just hoped he didn’t plan to throw some other useless errand at me when I got there.
When I got to his office, his secretary let me know that they were already in the conference room and I cursed. That would mean everyone was there right? I took a deep calming breath before. heading for where the secretary directed me to. I would have just. barged in without knocking but the thought that it could be my father and his peers in this meeting had me balancing the heavy tray on one arm before raising the other to knock quickly.
I heard his voice call out an ‘enter’ and so I did, frowning when I saw a bunch of familiar faces from earlier this morning. The

bloody meeting was with pack fighters? Alexander was definitely having a laugh which was why h e w as making me serve these people coffee like a little errand girl. I made to go drop the coffee on the table, ignoring the curious stares I could feel so I could leave as quickly as possible when Alexander finally spoke.
“Thanks for the coffee, Miss Rossi. Kindly pass it around.”
Did he just? “What?”
“You heard me.” He said with a hard look that was practically daring me to disobey him. I was so mad, I wanted to cry. What was this embarrassment? These were people I wouldn’t bother talking to and he would make me serve them coffee? I saw Caleb at one corner and I wondered how he managed to get here so fast. The whispering was getting loud and I dared myself to storm out. I returned Alexander’s glare and even if I wasn’t sure it would actually work, I tried to transport as much of the hatred I felt for him through the bond.
“Miss Rossi, you’re slowing us down.”
“It’s fine, we can help ourselves.” I heard Blake whisper to him from beside him but Alexander ignored him.
I took a deep breath and forced myself to pretend that the room was empty. Forcing a small smile, I nodded, “I’ll do it.” Picking up the tray again, I started from the person closest to me who looked uncomfortable as I set the cup down in front of him.
